As chairman of the powerful House Rules Committee, Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) plays an integral role in determining exactly how productive Congress can be in passing legislation. In an interview with Roll Call published Tuesday, however, the nine-term Republican admitted that the GOP's primary interests aren't even in the chamber it controls.:

“Everything we do in this body should be about messaging to win back the Senate,” he said. “That’s it." http://cdn.rollcall.com/news/sessions_eyes_elections_and_beyond-228894

"That's it." The Republican controlling the flow of legislation into the House is only focused on "messaging" and wresting control of the Senate from Democrats. So much for governing the country.

Actually, he said no such thing. That's YOUR interpretation only.

If " productive " is implementing Obama's Leftist platform , then we all should be praising the House GOP for not doing very much. Sadly, they've allowed far too much, and colossal failures ( see Obama-Care ), will take years to undo.

No, it is PRECISELY what he said. I provided the cite. They are his words...that's why they're in quotes, y'know?
