Regarding the OP, I learned a couple decades ago that public schools had been teaching that the words "discrimination" and "prejudice" actually have the same meaning. I tried to explain how they were different, but it was uphill climbing.
Keep this in mind when the younger folk start using these words, they might be talking about different things than you think.
