The first is a mid-range phone, through and through. It starts with Qualcomm Snapdragon new 8930AA 400 processor, a dual-core chip clocked at 1.4GHz. We have not seen a smartphone utilizing this particular chip before, but it is definitely on the lower end of the scale power compared to other offerings Qualcomm. It is paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and the whole package is the phone manages to run well, if not incredibly speedily.

I would not go so far as to call the first slow. Most apps open fast enough and scrolling performance is decent, but the overall feel of First as it was a half-step behind the top-tier Android phones, and closer to the phone like the Galaxy S III and the Razr M. The best analogy I can come up with is that it helps to feel as using the iPhone 4 as the iPhone 4S came out. The iPhone 4 felt plenty fast for most people until they tried the 4S, at which point you notice the little pause that seemed invisible before. It is certainly not a deal-breaker and a good reason for most people to give this phone a pass, but if you expect one or HTC Galaxy S4 level of performance, you will be disappointed. The first is perfectly acceptable but not a screamer.

I was more impressed with the battery life, which should not be a surprise because we are looking at a fairly power efficient processor and a smaller-than-average screen. The first powered hedge fully equipped 2,000 mAh battery, which I found more than enough to get through a day of regular use. Under stress, it can draw down pretty quickly, so you need to keep an eye on it. One day I spent about an hour tethering and streaming video on an AT & T LTE poor signal and killed off 25 percent of the battery. That's pretty creepy, but the phone managed to hang on for another 16 hours after that with regular use and a stronger signal http://snapexplorer.com/how-to-successfully-root-your-htc-one-in-minut
