Well, the story says reboot. At this point, I think that TV is struggling for relevance. Joss is worth instant audience points. I suspect they're looking for traffic, and that's more important than the reality that some episodes might become subtle digs at Trump.

My guess is that, sure, it would be hard to get Joss, but if they did, they'd do it. He'd probably abandon the idea of serenity in favor of a new ship and new crew and new storyline, because I think he'd get that just recasting the crew would annoy people, like a massive Sheldon Cooper Spock dilemma.
