Glad it was found. My understanding that jet is a piece of Canadiana.

ETA: Read the article and they are going to raise it. Museum time for that piece of history.

And they're going to continue looking for the other 8.

Had you been aware of this decision of Defenbaker's?

Cool on the other 8. Hope they are found. Maybe they can be salvaged and we can make our own jet fighters again.

Sadly, I think I've only heard of the Avro though Canadian moments ads on tv and something about the movie that Dan Ackroyd did. I should do a little more study of my own country's history.

You mean Canadian Bacon with Ackroyd?

Apparently a big deal for Canadian Industry. With inroads of Snowmobiles, boats and Marine engines, adding aero could have rounded out technical superiority, particularly so early in tbe Cold War.
Is Defenbaker known for spearheading mediocrity among Canadians?

No JSF. Dan Ackroyd made a movie about the Avro Arrow.

What I went and read said that there was a lot of in fighting amongst different groups because of the Arrow. Also we had just become part of NORAD and the US wanted full responsibility for the air protection.

Diefenbaker did some good things. He took a stance against Apartheid in South Africa at a time when it wouldn't have even been thought about. He gave First Nations and Inuit peoples the right to vote. He also had the first female minister in his cabinet and appointed the first Aboriginal person to the Senate. He got our Bill of Rights passed by Parliament.

Yes, JSF that first link in your response is the movie that I was talking about. Never did learn to cut and paste on a laptop.

Depends upon the software and hardware.
Do you have a wand in the middle, like between G and H keys?
How about a touch pad? Does the Touch pad have buttons, like for right-click and left-click?

For SELECTING the text:
place your cursor at the beginning of the block of text you want to select. Left-click.
next find the place at the end of what you want to select. Place your cursor there (or aim your arrow point there). Hold down the Shift Key, and Left-click. This will select the entire range/block between the first click and the Shift-click.

Once selected, right click for options to apply. If you have a delete key, right-click is not even needed. Otherwise, copy works with paste well.

No wand between G and H keys. I have a touch pad with buttons. Thanks for the info JSF. I wrote it down for next time.

If I understand you correctly, what I described should work. That method is also handy for precision deleting.

I should have mentioned:
After defining the selected text, it is important to hover over the selected text before left-clicking to select the action. Otherwise it won't work correctly. Sometimes I don't pay attention, forget that, and then wonder what happened.
