I am wondering if anybody else feels chagrined that the 5th wealthiest celebrity - Kylie Jenner at $900 Million - is a promulgator of the Flat Earth theory.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

My first thought was Who?

But OK, I'll bite ... According to THIS website Kylie Jenner is a chemtrail believer, not a flat earther.

She has a sister, Kendall, who is a top model, various outlets ranking her 1st or Top Ten in Income. Their mother is Kris Jenner, also mother of the Kardashians. Their father was Bruce Jenner, Olympic Decathlon Champion.
I've heard numerous outlets report that she posted her support of Flat Earth on her social media accounts.

Although I have no idea how she is making her first $Billion (age 21), it seemed it is not Rocket Science, with her belief that the Sun revolves around Earth.

I'm not going to say that it isn't flat. I've never been in a rocket ship.

Science still can't make up it's mind if milk is good or bad for you. Pluto used to be a planet. Hell... go back far enough and you'll find science that said that smoking tobacco could prevent cancer.

There's a guy out there who possesses twice the IQ of nearly everybody I've ever known who says that the probability that we're not all living in a simulated universe right now is so small that it's inconsequential and hardly even worth contemplating. If that's the case, I envy my counterparts that live in the paradise universes while we all got stuck on this rock. (And no, I'm not talking about Hack and Fraud... Neil deGrasse Tyson and Elon Musk, respectively. They just jumped on that bandwagon.)

Do Right, Be Right. :)

He's probably right. The probability of us coming to exist on this planet -and for long enough to become sentient- while in a mono-sol stable system AT JUST THE RIGHT DISTANCE FROM THE SUN but soo far away from any other "class Ms".... is mind-boggle-ingly unlikely.

The air mixture alone that is necessary to sustain and propel life... and the processes... and life systems... and energy matrices...and resources needed....

Each ONE of those things is improbable IN ITSELF. Put them all together, it's preposterous that this isn't a matrix or an experiment. "Discovery engine" or "life simulator" is what hubby and I call it.

Also, there are too many "unwritten rules" that function too much like program.

Sayings like "No good deed goes unpunished"
Why should good deeds BE punished?
....Because they affect the nature of "the program."

Running away sometimes means you are headed in the right direction.
Only the good die young
A bad penny always turns up
A leopard cannot change its' spots
A watched pot never boils
All that glitters is not gold
Don't count your chickens before they hatch
Don't put all your eggs in one basket

The fact that so many of us -now and all through the past- have experienced these examples over and over and over that me make sayings that everyone knows...

Proverbs... or programming??

The way all similar animals seem programmed to behave in similar ways...

The way all people with similar brain disorders act similarly and predictably? If the brain is so complicated that should not happen a TENTH as often. Even similarly affected brain regions should be affected differently and should cause enough behavior variances that making heads or tails of the pattern should be much more difficult, but since there isn't.... it means that there are a limited number of programmable neural defects when theoretically they should be more infinite.

Maybe this planet really is "the exception that proves the rules" but improbability is unbelievable when it actually DOES occur, so programming improbability into the system would doom it to fail eventually, so why program our reality to be SOOOOOOOO improbable to begin with???

I dunno...Probability is a stretchy thing some days, but this reality has never stretched to cover the complete randomness of our existing here, for me anyway...

PS. The Earth is actually slightly egg shaped and the shape of the moon is closer to a lemon.

How do we know???

When planes chart a course they have to adjust for the Earth's shape, and when there is a lunar eclipse we chart the shape of the shadow on the surface of the Earth.

AND YES, Virginia (this is towards 6ix)- THERE ARE BLACK HOLES!!!

You denying science principles because YOU haven't come up with them or seen them in person is PREPOSTEROUS. If you understand basic chemistry or physics you have to believe astronomy because they all use the same components. It's all part and parcel.

You misunderstand my words.

I'm not denying anything. My mind is simply open to many of the possibilities and I don't voluntarily shut my mind down to any of them simply because some human in a white lab coat has something to say about something.

The only thing the history of Science has proven time and time again is that as long as mankind is the impetus behind it then it will remain flawed and open to constant revision.

All I said is that the earth could be flat. It could also be round or egg shaped as well. Maybe it's hollow? Perhaps it's a giant Kinderegg and there is a cheap plastic Minion figurine inside of it that is the size of Pluto.

EDITED TO ADD:

You yourself seem to believe that the most likely scenario right now is that we're living in some sort of computer simulation.

If that were the case, it's likely that Science could never be correct 100% of the time even if it was run by an omnipotent artificial intelligence because the "rules" would never be the same 100% of the time. Even if we were some sort of "control" in a much larger experiment and we weren't one of the universes that were constantly and purposefully messed with to see what our resulting reactions would be, the probability that there is flawed code in such a grand scale simulation would be staggeringly high.

You should check YouTube for "glitch in the Matrix". There's some good narrators on there that tell some great stories from users of sites like reddit and 4chan about strange things they've witnessed or been a part of in their lives. If you do, stick with a voice you find appealing since there are quite a few people who do it and I've noticed there is quite an overlap of the same stories being narrated by a lot of them. They aren't all great, but the ones that are will give you goosebumps.

Milk is perfectly fine as a dietary staple, as long as you don't have any problems processing its individual components, as with every other food on Earth.

Pluto STILL IS a planet. It's a dwarf planet. It's just not in the same league with the same criteria as a regular planet tho. It's really hard to calculate how much a planet weighs from a billion miles away.

If you stand on a mountain overlooking the ocean you can SEE the curvature of the earth, 6ix. If you are on a plane and you hold a straight piece of paper just over the horizon you can see the edges curve away from the paper.

I think you got the next one backwards, JSF. Or maybe you mean the moon?

The GG Bridge was built to be able to withstand slight adjustments in natural forces, as are ALL bridges, so I'm not sure that's a good question.

We would still have weak poles if the planet was flatish.

St Nick is dead, popular theory is he died in A.D. 343 in Demre, Turkey.

Yeah, because there is ZERO evidence we live on a flat planet or even a flat simulation. There are some plausible signs we live in a simulation. Maybe it's a decent simulation in that they've managed to write in pretty compelling evidence that this planet is round, but I have to go with what my senses tell me, and they tell me this planet ain't flat, EITHER WAY.

If we're living in a simulation there is no reason why the rules couldn't change every single day.

If you believe that we're living in a simulation you're going to have to come to terms with the fact that nothing is real and nothing has to be constant just because it was that way yesterday.

Oh... and BTW...

Those are two entirely different things. Pluto is not a planet. It IS a dwarf planet.

And Pluto's loss of Planetary status has nothing to do with how much it weighs.

https://www.popsci.com/why-is-pluto-no-longer-planet

Quote:

Pluto is different. If you look at the solar system overall, it lies somewhere between an asteroid and a planet. No nearby object threatens to kick it away, as far as astronomers know. But now that researchers understand more about its environment, it just doesn’t look that special anymore. Instead of being the most distant planet, Pluto seems to be the closest member of the Kuiper Belt, a donut-shaped ring of perhaps a trillion comets and ice balls that orbit beyond Neptune. At least 200 of these objects are probably big enough to be round, qualifying them as dwarf planets. And like asteroids, they all move in similar ways. “Pluto,” Brown writes, “will always be part of the swarm.”

Maybe you are confused, Wishi. Although the Vatican Libraries spelled out the global shape of Earth, the denial held that Flat Earth was the Center of the Universe and all objects in the sky journeyed daily across the heavens, or at least orbited around Flat Earth. Are you following some alternate Flat Earth belief where the Sun does not orbit around Terra?

GG Bridge, as a Suspension Bridge, cannot withstand the 2 suspension towers being tilted toward each other. That is why the tops of the towers are farther apart than the bases, because it required the curvature of the Earth to be calculated into the Engineering. ALL Bridges are not long enough to require a calculation of the curvature of the Earth - they can be engineered as if they are on a Flat Earth.
