You were not paying attention to what health insurance costs, were you? Americans pay $10,224 per person per year in 2017. It has nothing to do with Obamacare. You didn't know the cost of anything until Obamacare forced people to buy insurance for the first time in their lives. If you had no insurance, you can believe it was cheap before Obamacare. Or you could look up the old prices before Obamacare and have your ignorance corrected. Prices have been rising nice and steady, year after year, long before Obamacare:
