I want The Animated Adventures of Firefly. If it was a cartoon, the actors literally could phone it in without needing to quit their other acting jobs to do Firefly 16 hours per day for 9 months per season. And even better, it would NOT be Firefly with everybody 25 years older. Nobody ages in cartoons. Even Book could be brought back from the dead.

What stories should be animated?

I actually STRONGLY agree with this opinion.

I've argued for a long time now that I really wouldn't be very excited about any sort of Firefly reboot for at least 10 years now. We've already missed everybody's glory years, so we'd be left with Grandpa Mal and Grandma Inara, or they'd just throw the entire old cast away save for a random cameo here or there and have a whole new cast that we're not at all invested in.

Also, I didn't like Serenity. Not that it was a bad movie, but because it was just a huge rush to wrap up a whole bunch of ideas that could have been many years of great storytelling all in a few hours.

So I agree with Second. Make it a cartoon.

And also remove Serenity from Cannon. There's no way that you could fit it in with 5+ years (hopefully) of a great cartoon that could take its time telling that story while also telling so many other stories we missed out on and seeing all the sites in The 'Verse.

Oh... and get everybody who was responsible for the Cowboy Bebop cartoon in charge of it and it could be the greatest Anime ever.
