That was leaked on purpose, and I assume that both parties agreed to "leaking" it beforehand.

The apology is not genuine. I'd reckon that this apology was more for his TDS suffering family than it was anyone else. Despite the fact his family is made up of Establishment shills and the importance of the Kennedy name died with his uncle, he still seems to care what they think of them.
