Just a note during the pause of hurricanes, we are still here. Although I have no power still ( 7 days so far and will be another 2 ). Running an extension cord from the neighbor allows some contact with the outside world. Now is a good time for me to envision grand parties, conventions and even shindigs with feet propped up for a brew, resting before getting gussied up for a formal dance and seeing all the ladies dressed in frills and slink. Heck, even a day dream or two of a shindig on a cruise ship like they have for Precious Moments people.
I hope more people make an effort to get on the boards and speak up. I see high read rates, but few posts. I checked link after link that I could find and see many boards have not had an update or post in a year or more. Some have been on line for a year and only have 9 members. A sad thing.
It has been a hard fight to get the BDM going, Don't drop the ball now.. Kick your friends in the kneecaps ( shooting them in the kneecaps is frowned on in these parts ) and get em motivated to be a bit more vocal :) All I gotta do is figure out how to get Florida motivated in this heat to start a good sized get togethers leading to a Shindig.
Soooooo, if YOU organized a shindig that lasted a full weekend... what events would you have?
