In this great state that I live in, it is illegal to intice people to vote with bribes. Michael Moore, in his evil, dastardly ways, has blatently violated this law by giving out lavishly expensive gifts such as... clean underwear and packets of Ramen Noodles? During a speech given at Ferris State University, the illegal items were handed out to the first ten people who registered to vote (regardless of which way their votes would actually go).

The Michigan Republican Party, who were obviously threatened by the coersive power of Ramen Noodles and tighty-whities, have called for legal action against Moore.

Personally, I could not care less about whether he gives out noodles or not, but really, come on! Both sides have taken this to a level of stupidity I care not to speak of. Moore should just take it easy, and the MRP should let the first-time voters enjoy their noodles in peace.

Moore had this to say,

"My friends, they will not catch me. Though I may be on the run, and I may never be able to return home to my beloved Michigan, I make this solemn vow to you and yours. The slackers of America shall not be denied their noodles, they will proudly wear their clean underwear as free Americans, and they will vote Bush out of office come November 2."

However this debacle plays out, I will be voting for Kerry. Not because of a Ramen reward, but because I think we need a change.

Qui tacet, consentire videtur.
"He who is silent, is understood to consent"

Peace. Out.

...so I lied.

But I agree on this. U.S. Territories, and the District of Columbia, need full voting rights and representation. Maybe in the same constitutional amendment that gets rid of the Electorial College?
