FireflyMUX Now Open for Beta-Testing!

"After the Earth was used up, we found a new solar system and hundreds of new Earths were terraformed and colonized. The Central Planets formed the Alliance and decided all the planets had to join under their rule.

There was some disagreement on that point.

After the war, many of the Independents who had fought and lost drifted to the edges of the system far from Alliance control. Out here, people struggle to get by with the most basic technologies. A ship would bring you work. A gun would help you keep it. A captain's goal was simple: Find a crew, find a job. Keep flying."

When Firefly first aired in 2002, Joss Whedon painted gritty, realistic world based in the 26th century - a rich, colourful and diverse civilization five hundred years in the future. With the intruiging genre of "space western" tied to its name, it brings up combined images of spaceships and horses, high technology and the old frontier, corrupt government and gunfights. Overall, it's about people .. their freedom and survival. Today, this world provides us with a unique opportunity for roleplay. It provides us with FireflyMUX.

The game picks up where the television series left off after fourteen episodes; from hereon out, everything is non-canon, with a strong backbone of that canon flavour we know and love. FireflyMUX is a realistic roleplay reflection of the Firefly theme as created by the one and only Joss Whedon; as such, we strive to fit into his vision as best we can. Of course, there's plenty of room for originality - it's a big universe!

- We're now open for beta-testing after beginning preparations early last year. We're an intense RP-driven game. Although in preliminary stages, we're absolutely open for applications, so come visit us! If you're new to MU*s (or don't know what one is in the first place), don't worry - there's simple information on our site for beginners.

As of this moment, advertising is minimal until we get on our feet, but I thought fireflyfans.net was the perfect place to get those feet wet. ;) If you have ANY questions, feel free to ask here, or better yet, log on as a Guest and contact me or another helpful staff member!

Is this still working? I try to connect but it won't let me. I connect to other mudds all the time so I don't think it is a problem with my computer.
