Have 1 Austin ticket to give; need Chicago ticket!

No, I didn't click the wrong link when I bought a ticket to the May 5th screening yesterday; I thought I was going to be in Texas the week of the 5th on business but it turns out I was off by a week. So I have an Austin ticket I cannot use.

BUT, later in the day, I learned of an opportunity to be in Chicago on the 5th--and of course by then it was sold out.

I can't imagine anyone would want to flat-out trade an Austin ticket for a Chicago ticket, but there must be someone with a Chicago ticket they can't use. I'm looking for help and if someone can hook me up with a Chicago ticket, I'll hook someone else up for Austin.

This probably won't work but I couldn't see the harm in tryin'.

Out of curiousity how are you going to get your Austin ticket? You have to bring your credit card to the theater to pick it up. Are you going to send your credit card to someone?

Zeek brings up a good point--I will send my printed form from the Fandango website along with a photocopy of my credit card and drivers license along with a letter from me stating that I wish to transfer it to the bearer.

I called the theater manager in Austin and he said this would be good enough.

Bump still looking for that last-minute miracle that would allow me and TDTMF to both see the film on Thursday.

I know some of y'all are riled up about the scalpers on Ebay. I could have put my ticket on ebay but instead I'm just looking to do some horse trading. But heck, if any of you profiteers out there wanna sell me a Chicago ticket for $200, I'll see if TDTMF wants to split that amount then I'll sell him my ticket at face value and we'll each get in for around $100. Much more than that knocks me out of the running, though.
