Jayne groaned deep in his throat. Tried to turn it into a cough. When he looked up from his plate, Inara was lookin’ at him, chopsticks halfway to her mouth.

“Good food.” His voice sounded forced, even to him.

“Mmm.” Kaylee nodded. Her hand was in his lap again, rubbin’ him in slow circles while her other hand brought a napkin up to her lips all normal-like. “Yeah. This is real good, Inara. Thanks for lettin’ us grab some.” Kaylee smiled and rubbed her hand real hard against little Jayne on that last part.

Jayne grunted and dropped his fork.

Kaylee turned to look at him. “You okay, Jayne?”

Jayne unclenched his teeth an’ cleared his throat. “Yup.”

“Feelin’ okay?”

Gorram she-devil had picked up a nice rhythm with her rubs. Jayne licked his lips and picked up his fork again. “Feelin’ just fine.”

“Maybe I should go check on him.” He heard Kaylee’s chair grind against the floor behind him an’ stepped behind the outcrop in the wall beside the dinin’room. She walked by slowly. He reached out and grabbed her wrist an’ she turned toward him.

He pulled ‘er up against ‘im an’ turned to push her against the wall at the same time. He pressed his needful bits against her and growled softly in her ear. “Reckon you oughta finish what you started.”

Her voice was half whisper, half moan. He could hear the smile in her voice an’ feel her breath against his neck. “Reckon I should.”

She moved out from between him an’ the wall an’ headed toward the bunks. Jayne grabbed her from behind an’ pulled her back in a way that made her nice little bottom come up against ‘im kinda hard.

He grunted. Took ‘im a second ta remember why he’d done that. He leaned down to whisper in her hair. “Engine room. We can make more noise there.”

She moved against him.

He growled soft an’ moved right back. “And wu de tyen ah, am I plannin’ on you makin’ lots of noise.”
