Don't shoot me. Shoot me and I bleed. Don't much care for bleeding. Need my blood, don't do me no good all over the ground.

Even if'n I am shot, don't mean I'm just going to lay down and die. Be damn sure I'm gonna get a mite trigger happy. Better I die fighting than stand there and let you riddle me with holes. I'll be shootin' at you with the last ounce of strength I've got.

Plenty of shootin' in a war. Shootin' that can't be avoided. I know I'll be shootin' at you and you ought be shootin' back. Don't settle too well to kill a man who don't have it comin'. The shootin's never been hard, it's the part that comes after. The killin', the dyin'.

Dyin's a natural part of life. Still, dyin' should either be dignified or of old age with a brood of fat grandchildren swarmin' 'round you. If'n it can't be one, must be t'other. So, you damn sure better be shootin' at me, 'cause I'll be shootin' at you.

We got two things in common, we're both fightin' for somethin' we believe in, and we're both shootin' at each other. Got a certain respect for you for the first. Everybody's gonna die sometime, now's as good a time as any.

When you're gonna die depends on who's carryin' your bullet. Could be, you never come across them and die with your fat brood of grandkids 'round ya.

*hears shots being fired*

Time to be shootin' again. They don't like it when you shoot at them. Maybe I do. Makes life interesting to have to dodge bullets here and there.
