Chapter Four “Making Up is Fun to Do”

When Kaylee walks in the shuttle on an almost sleeping Doc with trails of tears still on his cheeks. Simon almost stutters “No…No…it’s not like that; Inara told me to sleep here.”

“I know ‘Nara told me everything. And…and I love you, too.” Kaylee slowly lets her coveralls fall to the floor and removes her T-shirt. Then climbs into bed with Simon.

“I do love you, bao bei...” Simon confesses as he takes her into his arms. “…and this isn’t how I want to tell you.”

“Simon you don’t need to tell me. I know…” She says with a very sultry look. “…right now, you just need to show me.”

Just then on the port side of the bridge, River is typing on the navigation consol when a bright smile spreads across her face.

Early the next morning, Simon and Kaylee are still in the Inara’s dreadfully bare shuttle. While Simon thinks how can one man be so lucky? He couldn’t understand it. What were the odds, bet’ya River would know; Oooh, got to remember not to think about sister during sex. But right now Simon was trying to think about anything but sex. The first two times today went way to quickly. He wasn’t ready for all that she could throw at him. She knew what she wanted of him, and she just took it, no more asking questions, no more, is this O.K. or is that O.K. She wanted it and she got it, who was he to argue. He was just the luckiest man in the ‘verse. Just now for a third time today.

“I’m the luckiest man in the ‘verse.” Simon beams in the after glow as he folds his hands behind his head.

“Really?” She rolls off him and looks at him coyly.

“Really, what could be possibly better.” Says a man without a care in the world.

“You mean like having a ten percent chance of getting spaced today.” She teasers her man.

“Oh yeah, well, um, he wouldn’t really, would he… “ Simon wasn’t really confident.

“Yeah, I’m sure you’re right, if he wasn’t bluffing all this time, you would’ve be out the airlock by now. For sure.” Kaylee says as she starts to suckle on his neck.

“You know, we have just enough time to get showered before lunch.” Says Simon as he struggles with even these few words.

She pulls herself away from his neck just long enough to say. “You sure you want to face all them.”

“Have to soon or starve. Doctors orders need to keep up your strength,” He says as he starts to rub on her lower half.

“Doctor Tam are you proposition me!” Kaylee exclaims with mock shock.

“And about time too, don’t you think.” He says before kissing her passionately and rolling on top of her.

They really didn’t need to shower before lunch after all, did they.
