I haven't decided yet. It doesn't exactly sound like something I'd be interested in, but I could also end up being pleasantly surprised.

I'll be checking it out for the first few episodes at least. I caught a preview of it on AMC about a week ago and it looked interesting.

I like them both actually. Didn't always like Connor obviously but Vincent made me want to. I thought he was great in the role. Christina's great, too.

You may not have liked Vincent on Angel but you should, no must check out the movie Mastermind's with Picard/Patrick Stewart playing a bad guy role and Vincent out smarting him at every turn. Until I saw a small part of Connor showing up on Angel as I was turning the tv channels I didn't know who he was, then I said "That's Max from Masterminds." You owe it to yourself to see that movie. It's quite obviously filmed in Vancouver but you forget that from the sheer pleasure of it (Stewart is hilarious in it, and quite un-Picard like)

Mistress Sahara: I liked Vincent, just didn't always like Connor. Don't think we were always supposed to though (Adam Baldwin's character called Connor a "raging psychopath" or something like that, and he wasn't wrong). It was Vincent's performance and the fact that the character was Angel's son that made me want to care, and by his last few eps. playing the very troubled character, I did.

I did actually catch the last third of the movie you mentioned once. I already knew him as Connor at that time, which was why I stopped to watch it while flipping channels. Not enough to know if I'd like it or not though. There are a couple other movies he did that I liked. All were watched after I knew him as Connor. Crime and Punishment in Suburbia and The Unsaid (played a Connor-like character opposite Linda Cardellini (of FREAKS & GEEKS, SCOOBY DOO movies & ER). I also kind of liked Another Day in Paradise.

I saw Masterminds too when I was a kid, and really enjoyed it. It's one reason I never viewed Connor as negatively as others, I think.

I always find it interesting how sometime people can confuse actors for their roles. Sometimes I've got the impression that people don't like Vincent because of his role as Connor. I think that if you dislike a character that much, then the actor is doing a good job.

Doesn't quite do the actor justice when people go in with expectations of him gotten from other shows, positively or negatively. I don't care one way or another what his character was like in Angel, I saw a talenyed actor with a future acreer. The only thing that deterred from that film was he needed to wash his hair. So stringy and oily.

Well, you're entitled to be wrong just like anyone else (

)!! I've always been so moved by what Joss's shows did for me (in more ways than one), though, that they inspired me to want to help support the outside projects of his cast and crew as well. That doesn't mean I ran out and saw all their movies or bought a copy of everything they ever did, 'cuz of course I can't afford that, but I've done what I could. I always felt that their work in the Jossverse meant so much to me that I felt I owed it to them. I have to say though that I only actually liked a handful of those projects, but I still don't regret the money I spent on them at all (most have been donated or sold for someone else to hopefully enjoy). There have been only two people besides Joss that I've actually consistently liked everything that I've seen them do, and that's Nathan Fillion & Vincent Kartheiser. The others I feel are so much better than some of the projects they've taken on would have most believe but I still wish them well and hope those projects did more for them and their careers than it did for me!

The wink and the grin were there to let you know that I was teasing you, and actually it was meant not about Masterminds (which I didn't see enough of to form an opinion one way or another) but your comment about ANGEL. You know, please don't take this the wrong way, but there are plenty of shows I dislike, some more than others, but I don't go and find fans of those shows and regularly tell them that their favorite show is uninteresting to me, stupid, etc. I state my opinion if I'm asked, otherwise I pretty much let it go. BLOOD TIES was an exception, though. I was trying to so hard to like it, which was why I kept writing about it so much. Honestly, it was probably because I was missing Joss's shows so much.

My point being...I'm still curious as to why you come to the BUFFY and ANGEL boards as much as the rest of us if you dislike the shows as much as you claim to. I just don't see what benefit you get out it. NOt to say that you're unwelcome here in any way, I'm just a little confused.

Because honey, when I click on the thread I can't SEE it's the Buffy/Angel threads, I see a subject that looks interesting and I open it and read it and 9 times out of ten I leave and look at other threads. Sometimes though I read it because there's an interesting conversation going on, but I don't come on here to rag on the show, I respect poeple's opnions and right's to their shows. And when I comment I'm just making statements. People can take them how they will, but I'm not deliberately seeking out to trash shows, hhmkay? If I wanted to, believe me no thread would be spared.

For anyone who cares, I actually saw Mad Men last night, and watched it all the way through. And I kinda liked it. I have some questions about the main character,and I think some of the stereo typical commentary was a bit over stated, but I liked it.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

The best parts of the show were the period detail, costumes, sets and hairstyles. I actually expected to see the Rat Pack walk through a couple of times. And I haven't seen that much smoking on tv in a long, long time.

I'm old enough to remember the time in which this show is set, when there was cigarette advertising on tv, most women were either housewives or just secretaries, and blacks were kept down in the menial job ranks.

It's too soon to tell if any of the characters are worth caring about though, and that is what distinguishes any show of merit, IMO at least.
