"According to our anonymous source, new WB Network Chairman Garth Ancier has spoken with Joss Whedon about doing "something" with ANGEL, be it a series of spinoff movies or -- hold your horses -- bringing the show back. Whoa."

"Gott kann dich nicht vor mir beschuetzen, weil ich nicht boese bin."

Now that's a good way to brighten a guy's day.

Hope is always a great thing to have. Please post again if you hear anything new on this one.

I thought there was a very slim chance this might be ture till i got to the part where it said they would recast David Boreanaz if he wouldn't want to do it. Come on that is the stupidest thing i have heard, yeah they will recast the roll of angel for one more season of a show they already canceled lmao.

I think the most likely outcome would be a TV movie of one of the other characters on Angel. That would be fine, because Mr. Boreanaz seems tired of the character of Angel from what I've read. It's too bad, but I guess he'd rather take the chance with trying to get into movies than be wrapped up again with the series. It's understandable that he wants to move on, but I don't have to like it. Sigh.

That line was quite clearly in jest.

As for a resurrection - I wouldn't get my hopes up. A new show featuring characters from Angel besides Angel himself is far more likely given the tone of various post-Angel DB interviews.

As much as I would like to believe it, my skeptic nature tells me to not to get my hopes up over a rumor. I can't think of many things I'd love more, though, than more Angel.

I can't wait for the article about Fox wanting Firefly back. ;-)

(Course, it would be better to have it on another channel.)

Keep flying

My sense of justice utterly rebels at the thought of Universal rolling the dice to expand Firefly's audience and then Fox reaping ANY benefits from Universal's wisdom.

It would be a bittersweet pill to have to return to Fox to see new episodes of Firefly. But still, plenty sweet enough to swallow...

SyFy Portal has just written a story too...:

I am really hoping that all this smoke means that there is a small fire over at Mutant Enemy
(that is that they are writing a script and getting ready to start filming!)

I'm hoping Joss will announce something at the fundraising event, High Stakes, on Sunday!

This article is based on the Cinescape article and they both appear to be made of smoke and mirrors. Perhaps someone at the WB whispered a few sweet nothings in the Cinescape reporters ear or maybe it was just an attempt on the part of Cinescape to stir the pot and see what reaction they would get. Don't know. Don't care. Don't think Joss will annouce anything Buffy or Angel related on Sunday. Nor anything about all that X-Men speculation except to make fun of it all in some way.

It'd be like The Muppet Show! But with demons!

I would so watch that religiously. . .
