I'm from Corpus Christi, TX and it's snowing down here. We got about 5 inches of snow last night. This is the first time it has snowed down here for over 100 years. Amazing eh? A lot of people down here have never seen snow their entire lives. Some were about to visit New York or Colorado just to see snow. But instead, of all places, they saw snow for the first time in South Texas. It's just weird that after living here for 15 years to see snow in my backyard and everywhere else.

You might find it of interest to look at this every day, as I have for the past four years:

"virga.sfsu.edu/gif/jetstream_norhem_00.gif"

It clearly shows the manipulation of the jetstream, most likely through the effects of HAARP combined with the constant injection of ionizable particulate matter into the atmosphere, the latter visible to anyone with a sufficiently flexible neck to look up at the sky regularly. The weather is constantly being modified, whether you like it or not, and whether you agree with me or not.

Best wishes.

I live in South Texas too. But I'm further up the coast, about 30 miles west of Galveston. It's snowed here before in my lifetime (1989, 1994) but it was NOTHING like this. Our dogs went crazy in this morning. They like to eat ice cubes, so now they're attempting to eat the whole back yard.

Christmas 2004: fun for many species. ;)

Howdy y'all. I've lived in Austin almost 19 years, but I grew up in an area called the Rio Grande Valley which borders Mexico from around Laredo all the way to Brownsville, the tip of Texas. Believe me, that much snow is more like a shock to the system for people down there. There were a couple of ice storms that I remember before 1981 but that's about it.

Everyone dies alone.

For those of you who still believe weather is an "act of God":

The US Air Force has the capability of manipulating climate either for testing purposes or for outright military-intelligence use. These capabilities extend to the triggering of floods, hurricanes, droughts and earthquakes. In recent years, large amounts of money have been allocated by the US Department of Defense to further developing and perfecting these capabilities. [The key weather-modification tool is the HAARP array, at Gakona, Alaska.]

"Weather modification will become a part of domestic and international security and could be done unilaterally... It could have offensive and defensive applications and even be used for deterrence purposes. The ability to generate precipitation, fog, and storms on earth or to modify space weather, ... and the production of artificial weather all are a part of an integrated set of technologies which can provide substantial increase in US, or degraded capability in an adversary, to achieve global awareness, reach, and power." (US Air Force. Air University of the US Air Force, AF 2025 Final Report. ( http://www.au.af.mil/au/2025/)

Minnesota should be up to its knees - and in the northern part of the state it is. here in the Minneapple? We got Nuttin!

So what are they using for snow plows down there anyhow? I know in D.C. they put a blade on the front of a garbage truck and re-christen it a plow.

I don't know what they used for snowplows but within the week the temperature went up to the mid 70s. The snow melted after 2 days. I tried to make it last as long as possible by making massive piles of large snowballs. Then I realized how pathetic it was wasting my time doing that. It just looked ugly, the pile of snow mixed with all the grass. All in all, it was shiny.
