I was just flipping through channels tonight, when lo and behold, I saw Kaylee. She's in a Lifetime movie called Widow on the Hill, and it looks like she's got a starring role. It's on at 9 pm (EST) on January 24th and 27th.

Lifetime...Kaylee...Lifetime...Kaylee...

Does she at least look cute and not all battered? I mean, it is a Lifetime movie, after all.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Jewel talked about this tv movie a bit when I saw here in the DC area back in November. She said this was the most trying roll of her career.

I will check it out on the 24th.

MANIACNUMBERONE

"People are fascinated with these types of psychological dramas." — Judith Polone, executive producer of "Widow on the Hill"

A once quiet town starts buzzing with gossip when Linda, a striking young hospice nurse, appears on the scene. A wealthy horse breeder hires the beautiful newcomer to look after his terminally ill wife. Shortly after his spouse's death, Hank and Linda tie the knot. But their marriage is off to a rocky start due to rumors of Linda's infidelity. When Hank mysteriously dies, his outraged daughter accuses her new stepmom of killing her father.

After her arrest and trial, Linda is acquitted of Hank's murder, although she is still awaiting the outcome of a $15 million civil suit brought against her by her stepdaughters.

You can't help but be intrigued by this sultry drama's complexity. And you'll love the pairing of the stunning Natasha Henstridge with award-winning actor James Brolin."

I am assuming Jewel plays the outraged daughter.

I agree, a tough decision.....

I think the best commentary on the issue of Lifetime was made by Family Guy:

"Lifetime....programming for idiots"

They didnt call it the dark ages because it was dark.

When Jewel was here in DC, she said that she does a whole lot of crying in this movie...I think she does play the daughter.

So her character's mother dies, then her father dies then the blonde who killed them both gets away with it. Why would she cry a lot?

Anyone know what "true story" this was based on? And why Jewel is reduced to being "girl standing in the background" in all the publicity stuff?
