Blogging issues, So the choose your own adventure moves here for now.

I don't do normal, so here are the rules.

# 1: That which is voted the most, is what I will write next.

# II: Don't bother correcting the grammar and spelling mistakes that I will make.

# C: If you read it, vote.

# #: As long as you are willing to vote, I will be willing to write.

Remember, humor is always a bonus.

Before we get started I would like to point something out. This blog is starting to get serious for me, and I have begun to incorporate several elements of my novel,
A Tale of Pangaea within. If you are actually following my posts regularly you might want to read the synapses of my first book above the blog. It was written by Mrs. Karen Cole-Peralta of Rainbow Writing Inc. Or you can just skip it and go directly to the blog, and then vote.

---------------------------------------

Thais, the young hero of the story, and Roland and Capron, two brothers who are his best friends, are on a hunting expedition a few miles from their village of Ezra in the romantically pastoral Genjin Wer. Their home is a secluded and magically-protected area, but suddenly the daylight is extinguished, and turned abruptly into murky darkness. Back at the village, their chief Virgil and his daughter Rhea wonder what is happening. Roland, Capron and Thais find a neighboring village has created a magical beast upon a blazing Altar, a Lusus Naturae (Freak of Nature), which threatens to destroy their simple community. After the lidless-eyed visitor Zanche tells them what happened, it is up to Thais, a burgeoning Sorcerer who knows the magic power of the Latin Canto, to eternally banish the Lusus.
He finds the grove of Azrael and its mysterious protector Arius, on his way into the mountains, and uses its beautiful door-portals on the lake to shorten his trip. While Thais and Roland are gone to battle the Lusus, Rhea, Capron and Virgil meet Wynn, Zanche's brother, who claims to be from the magical Mire, and is able to help them. Thais, continuing his journey, battles a Dybbuk who almost claims his soul. When he finds the temple housing the Sacred Altar, he does battle with a flesh-eating Banshee, and kills her. The lidless Zanche is discovered waiting for him at the Altar, and while battling him, Thais gains magical fire power from nearly being sacrificed on the Altar. Thais watches as the Lusus kills Zanche and then destroys the Lusus. Roland, on the way to help Thais, does battle with several Glibbins, near-human servants of a local Sorceress. Thais uses his new power against the Glibbins, and meets the Sorceress.
When Roland and Thais return to Genjin Wer, a vast fog descends upon its outskirts. And a package is delivered by a raven, addressed to Thais, which Rhea mistakenly opens. It puts her into a deep sleep, for which Thais pledges to find the cure. The box bears the Runes of Cassian, a mighty, eternally evil Sorcerer of Pangaea, which is the name of these people's known world. Thais learns of his noble heritage as Heir to the throne of Auctoria, and leaves with Roland and Capron to enter the fog and journey outside of Genjin Wer. Thais takes with him two letters, one magic, to present to the present King of Auctoria, which will help him to claim the throne.
After they go through the fog, they discover a castle and the Sorceress, who turns out to be Wynn, really Myrrha, Zanche's sister and not his brother, as thought originally. Myrrha turns Capron into a Berserker, and Roland has to kill him. Thais makes the castle crumble, crushing Myrrha.
Thais and Roland next encounter Jasper Loom, the Keeper of Genjin Wer. He tells Thais of his destiny and directs them to the Mantle Bridge, where they meet the Guardian of the valley, who is a giant skeleton. The Guardian lets them cross and leave the valley.
They near Auctoria and find a farm, where they meet Quint, who guides them to the King's guards and Imaran, who confines them for three long months in a tower in Auctoria. After leaving the tower, they do battle with Quint, Imaran and a bronze statue of King Kyne of Auctoria, and destroy all three of them. They meet Kendall, who tells them of the battle between the Glibbins and Auctoria. Virgil turns up in a small cottage in south Auctoria, and tells them of the looming war between the Lajos and Herothgard. They meet Malvo, the Captain of the King's High Guard, who takes them to the castle to meet Lady Juleen. She is queen of Auctoria and an illusionist, wife to King Kyne, who turns out to be controlled by a Dybbuk. While there, they are warned again about an assassin who may be laying in wait for them, somewhere.
Thais gives Kyne the wrong magic letter, and they have to go to the ruins of Paddock Wood to recover the Requiem of Spirit, a sword forged in the past by a good usurper King, to destroy Kyne. They talk the queen into taking a party into the woods, where they meet a Golem made by the forest guardian, who stops them. The guardian who mysteriously knows much about Thais allows them to pass. Virgil is given power through a magic acorn by the forest guardian, who tells him to wield the Requiem of Spirit and kill Kyne instead of Thais, whose destiny is to go on living. Virgil dies killing King Kyne, and Lady Juleen also dies in the ruins of Paddock Wood.
Malvo, Roland and Thais again meet Arius, and Roland and Thais cross through a door-portal, ready to journey to the Crux, the heart of Pangaea, to find Cassian and the magic cure for Rhea's slumber. They must travel to Herothgard, though, first. They run into men cutting trees and practicing battle for the war, and catch a ride on a wood cart with Bastion, a young boy who tells them about the war, on their way to Nyuja. Bastion tells them about the flesh-eating Baradours who haunt the area between the ruins of Tesaja and Adonja, where temples were erected to magically control the local earthquakes.
In Nyuja, they go to a tavern which houses a theater, watch a historical drama, and meet Yeltic, the theater master and a Conjurer. Yeltic warns them not to broadcast Thais's powers, due to an assassin who kills all magic folk. Yeltic is found and killed by the assassin, and Roland and Thais leave on foot for Tesaja.
Once again, they are followed by the mysterious raven they had seen before. And along the road to Tesaja, as they stop to get a drink, they do battle with a pond-dwelling dragon. Baradours, a kind of men with the heads of wolves, attack them as they attain Tesaja at night. They do battle with them on the plateau of the tower of Tesaja, and Thais uses his fire powers to stall for daylight. The next day, they set out for Adonja, which turns out to be nearly impenetrable. Thais finally finds the magical way in, after having his magic powers repulsed by Adonja's tower.
They enter and leave Adonja, and encounter Quint, whom they thought they'd previously killed. He turns out to be both the predicted assassin and the fierce dragon they'd encountered earlier. They do heated battle with him, and cleverly destroy him.
While trying to cross a river, they meet a team of horses ridden by children, including Bastion, who is headed back to Adonja. He tells Roland and Thais that the war has finally come to Herothgard. An immense cloud of smoke and flames blanket the area, and the two friends begin to wonder why they ever left home as they move forward into the city.

This book concentrates on the adventures of Thais the Sorcerer, and is the first in a series about the Lands of Pangaea. There is much liberal use of actual Latin phrases, which are all structurally correct, and the book maintains a steady stream of action, high adventure and magic as it continues its logical and intriguing forward progression into the clearly delineated and well-described world it artfully and archaically portrays.

ImEarly rushes down the left path. He would find out who had thrown that stone, attacking him like a coward.
The clamor behind him increased in volume and became more violent. He turned his head to see if whatever followed him was getting closer.

A beam of light blinded him and he tripped over something on the tunnel floor. He fell to his knees but recovered swiftly. Groping the ground he realized that he’d tripped on a pile of rocks. The stone that hit him must have come from this pile, he thought.

He was desperate to flee whatever was on his tail, yet somehow courageous enough to seek revenge ahead. He quickly grabbed one of the stones and tossed it behind him, he then moved swiftly away from the stairs. The tunnel started to hook to the left and then up, after walking for what seemed like an eternity a broad, although dim light could be seen ahead. A strong smell of carbon filled the air, like a bonfire roaring only feet from his nose. He jogged upward, made jovial by what must be sunlight. He reached the end of the tunnel and stepped into an open field of stone. All around the plain trees were on fire. There were flames everywhere.

What was going on? Where was he?

The air was so heavy and filled with smoke that it was difficult to breath. ImEarly stumbled through the smoke seeking a clearing, or to escape altogether. Eventually the smoke began to lift, and he came to a field of dirt and randomly dispersed patches of brown grass. He moved further away from the cavern and burning fields. Soon the ground began to ascend sharply and he stood at the edge of a massive precipice.

He could have kicked himself, all the climbing he did in the cavern, it didn’t lead him to the surface. It led him to the top of a plateau.

Below the plateau was a vast field, tens of thousands of men were involved in a battle of massive proportion. The battle cries could be heard and the thundering of horses caused a sickly vibration atop the mountain. Winding upward from the plain was a thin path that promised death to anyone who dared to venture downward.

But what frightened him most was not the battle, nor the fear of being lost in a world of pain. It was the man who stood several yards down the path, the man who was him.

ImEarly stared into what could have been a perverted reflection of himself. Battered and torn, scared and bruised. He wore a dirtied tunic and wore a massive sword at his hip.

When their eyes met a look of anxiety crossed the mans face. He sauntered slowly toward him and held up his right hand.

“Welcome friend.” He said.

“Time is short and I know that you must be afraid, so allow me to get to the point.”
ImEarly stepped backward from his reflection, not sure what to do, or say.
“I am the one for whom no stone was thrown, and I am here to send you on a journey that will prevent this,” He waved toward the battlefield. “from happening..”

“I don’t understand. Where am I? Who are you?”

“You are on the battlefield of Herothgard, and this battle will decide who holds the thrown, of who will govern all of eastern Pangaea.”

ImEarly’s face contorted to extreme confusion. “Pangaea?” He asked.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, and I don’t want to know. All I want to do is get home. I want to know why you, who apparently is… me, is here talking to, ahh, me. How is this possible?”

“I am a buffer. I am here to prevent you from finding yourself. I am here to break the timeline, and set you free from this world.”

“So you can send me home? Well what are you waiting for, do it.”

“I can send you backward or forward in time, only once, and only in this world. I cannot send you home. Only the one who brought us here can do that.”

“Well who is he? Point me in his direction and I’ll finish this myself.”

He pointed toward the field of combat below. “He is dead, without him the battle is lost. I cannot go home.”
His eyes clouded and a tear streamed down his left cheek.
“That’s why I am here, to send you back and prevent this war, seek his council and make your way home.”

“Who is he?”
“His name is Thais, and I warn you, he will not know of your arrival.”
“You said he sent for me! Why wouldn’t he know about me?”
“To prevent this war you must arrive before he comes to power, when he was simply a wondering mage.” He reached out to ImEarly with one hand and opened his palm, inside was a small cloudy jewel attached to a thin cord. “Show this to him, and maybe you will gain his trust.”
ImEarly took the jewel in his hand and placed it around his neck. All he could do is stare blankly at his battle hardened twin.

The man who was ImEarly, extended his arms above his head and then slowly down.

The Plateau and battlefield melted away, and ImEarly stood in a grassy field. He stood there for several moments unable to move. When courage finally returned to him, he surveyed the field before him. Perhaps a mile away was a large farm. Toward the setting sun a regiment of horsemen appeared to be making their way to the massive plateau behind him. If he hurried he could make it to the farm before they would see him.

ImEarly kicks dust to the farm.

ImEarly takes a chance on the horsemen.

If this were a Monty Python Choose Your Own Adventure I would say, "Run away! Run away!". But since there aren't any rabbits around, I vote for the horsemen.

No problem, but I might wait until the BDM comes to DVD before doing that.

Unless I am inspired before then. I never make a video unless I have a Battle plan.

More votes please.

I'm thinking farm.
They might have horses, which you could borrow/steal, or maybe be given if you're real nice, and get around faster. :)
Yep, farm.

I have no idea when I will make another video, I was tempted to make a faux trailer but I suppose that idea is moot now. Have you seen any of my non Firefly videos? I can upload a few of my other projects; I think you will like them. Just say the word.
