Halloween is fast approaching. I’m a nut for Halloween: costumes, candy, scary movies, the lot…

I was planning out my movies for the next few weeks, when I wondered what your choices would be. So please, add to or disagree with my selections.

Lady in White : Even now, as an adult, I still get the creepy feeling when I see Lucas Haas.
The Bad Seed (1956): Evil, pure evil.
House on Haunted Hill (1959): There has to be at least one Price movie in this list…
Poltergeist: The first horror movie my parents let me watch. My mother cried and I loved it! I didn't love that my mother cried; i loved the movie.
Gaslight: I’m already a bit mad, it’d be so easy…
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown: He’ll bring treats to all the good boys and girls.
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir: Not scary…One of the sweetest romances…I…you know, I’ve always wanted a Captain of my own…someone I’d know would be there when my time came. I used to dream about him.

Anywho...post your fave moveis to watch this time of year, be it Fright Night or Rocky Horror...

Transylvania Twist. The poor man's Rocky Horror.

Event Horizon. Cause that's just a freaky movie. And there's science!

In the Mouth of Madness - Stephen King on crack!

The Exorcist - Classic. Period.

Uzumaki - Yes, another Japanese horror film. But this one will keep you entertained (and delightfully confused).

Dog Soldiers - The best werewolf movie no one's ever seen

28 Days Later - Zombies. What else is there to say?

Jacob's Ladder - Vietnam flashbacks? Freaky reality? Who knows, but it's weeeeeird.

Tourist Trap - Killer "singing" mannequins. Um.....yup.....

House of 1,000 Corpses - Disturbing. And great.

And last but not least,

Shaun of the Dead - Funny and gross.
All right!

Legend of Hell House - still the scariest film I've ever seen, very subtle, it works it's way into your psyche...
The Mummy Returns - Fun, fun, and...fun.
John Carpenter's Vampires - Sick, and it's got James Woods!
Army of Darkness - Groovy!
Firestarter - Gotta have one Steve King in there...
2002 - Honk Kong action/Ghostbusters-like flick (ALL Whedon fans should see this one!).
BtVS - Halloween/Fear Itself double feature!!

Go INTO THE LIGHT!!!

NO, stay OUT OF THE LIGHT!!! Chrisisall

All of the Hammer Films with Frankenstein or Dracula in the title,(Scars of Dracula, The Curse of Frankenstein) because they are just so atmospheric and cool. Peter Cushing, and Christopher Lee. That's all I have to say.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The animated Disney classic. The live action version from 1978 with Jeff Goldblume is also really good.

Fright Night. This movie never gets old. Probably my favorite vampire movie of all. Roddy Mcdowall's best role since the Planet of the Apes movies/tv series.

Dawn Of The Dead. The original.

My Bloody Valentine. Just another typical 80's slasher flick, but for some reason I like this one quite a bit.

The Evil Dead. What can I say, this is one crazy/cool movie.

I love this time of year.

Very good responces thus far. Rather than repeat, here are some new ones:

The Shining - Jack Nicholson is one scary bastard.

Dead Alive - Peter Jackson's greatest work.

Aliens - 'Cus it's always a good time to watch Aliens

Evil Dead 2 / Army of Darkness - Same reason as Aliens

The Descent - If you liked Dog Soldiers, you need to check this out

I love that movie!

A few of my own:

Ravenous Not very scary, but gory as hell.

The Ugly A great psychological thriller.

The Evil Dead Trilogy My first forey into horror films.

Every zombie movie I own (and maybe a few I have yet to pick up) What can I say? I'm a sucker for zombie movies.

I suggest:

'Shadow of the Vampire'-- John Malkovich AND Willem DaFoe!

'Something Wicked This Way Comes'-- Jonathan Pryce creeped me out so bad!

'Young Frankenstein'-- not so scary, but soooo funny!

I think I quote that movie more than any other...

Did some asking around today and came up witha few more suggestions, thought I'd share them with you:
Scary Movie 2: not sure why, but hey, everyone has their own taste.
Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street: These were her first slasher movies...excellent additions.
Cat's Eye: I saw this at many slumber parties.

what else?
