Ok, for many people here it's going to be the beginning of exam period. Don't know about anyone else, but here, today is the first official day. But, being the good students (*cough* *cough* ) that we are, we've been studying a long time prior.

All this activity has of course, led to a messy desk.

Here's a pic of mine.

So, how messy is yours? Hope mine holds up to what's out there. Don't want to be the cleanest boy on the block

EDIT: Sorry about the huge pic size. I'm currently downloading the gimp and will replace with a smaller img when done.

Heh, nice idea. I don't have a digital camera or a scanner, so I'll just say: your desk = my floor. I had my room in control last semester, but this semester, I lost it. I've got leaning towers of books lining the wall, and scattered sheets of papers with notes everywhere. It's organized chaos...or that's what I keep telling myself.

Aahhh, a fellow mathematics student...

It's the first day of exams here too. And when it comes to my desk, let's just say it took me a couple of minutes to find my keyboard (sorry, don't have a digital camera).

Wow your desk is actually realized organized compared to mine... however, theyre pretty similar...

just replace the math books with Tolstoy and Tom Stoppard, and the candy wrappers with Hot Pocket wrappers.

BTW Dude where's your computer?

P.S. In addition to the stress of finals... my pocketbook was stolen yesterday, and my fridge is broken... no time, no money, and no food... I am officially the classic poor college student

Yikes!

Not that I'm one to talk - the only reason my desk has visible space at the moment is because I've been working on stuff elsewhere (like the couch by the tv... bad Kel!)

Don't have any exams (yea!) but I do have 3 essays due in the next 7 days (boo!), so I should probably not be here...

Good luck on exams/other end of year stuff everyone!

that is just too neat. Look at all those piles, and the nice pencil laying there and the glass of water. Sheesh, my coffee is usually a spilled mess piled on top of something important, and a pencil? where the Frak is a writing utencil? I usually steal it from the student employees. And let me tell you about the dust......

@PingJing:
The only reason why my floor is not like my desk is last weekend I had to, and I mean I had to vacuum. Crunchy things underfoot isn't a happy thing. Even if only in parts of the apartment.

I think the losing control of the messy is typical when other more important things are going on ie passing your courses. Just as long as finding things takes less than 5 min, everything's ok

@Khyron:
This is my last undergrad year (*knocks on wood*). What year are you?

Sounds like your desk is worse off than mine. I'll have to work on that

@Nandy:
Hot Pocket wrappers, eh? Nice to know others have there vices too For the record the candy wrappers are Mars, Twix and Cherry Nibs (there's Kit Kat elsewhere in the apartment as well). I actually cleaned up the other wrappers this past weekend. Had a nice pile going

If I turn around I see my other desk and my computers. See pic below.

Sucks about your pocketbook, and fridge, and money. Hope everything works out in the end for you. Usually does

@Chindi:
Care to provide a pic for us?

@Kellaina:
If I had a laptop, I'd probably be by the tv as well. At least for part of the time.

Good luck to you on your essays (and others that have them as well).

And good luck to everyone on there exams should you be "blessed" with them.

The other desk. Starting from the left, the computer in front is Andrew, he's the NAT box. The one behind is Xander, he's the webserver/etc. Moving right, behind the stack of cd's is my 100 min UPS and then further right Giles is my Mac mini (and more cd's). And yes, I love my computers and my little network

(gimp is currently compiling. Shouldn't be too long before img size is reduced).

EDIT: gimp blows up on save :( *sigh*

Yea, there are times it's a bad thing. But I've been at my desk for the past 4 days like a good girl. Not that it's helped much.

And the desk is no longer clean. I'd take a picture but I don't know where the camera is. Let's just say there is very little visible space .

Thanks! I'm only about 2 days behind where I want to be, which for me is pretty good!

How're your exams going?

Edit: this is kellaina, I forgot I was logged in under this account. oops.

The one I'm working on right now is almost done. I think I'll do well.

The second one is after the break. I was against it, as I don't want that monkey on my back during the holiday. But, the youngings in the class think that they'll have more time to study during the x-mas break (LOL). So, I'm stuck with it.

Not sure about that one as the instructor is a jackass with extremely subjective inconsistent marking criteria. How he developed that being a mathematician is beyond me.

Hope you get over your writers block soon

Any who, back to work.

Leese. New computer = Bigger desk = must move room around and get rid of one bookshelf.

Mess extends to encompass entire floor (clothes, books, some x-mas presents and boxes) and desk littered with pens, DVDs, Serenity stuff, popcans...

OK well my desk...I don't have a picture but it's scattered. I've got pictures all over it and stuff in the drawers that I don't even know why it's there or where it should be
