I DO. Another great show that never had a chance.

Never seen it, heard its good from others here, might look at it if I get the chance, sounds a bit weird though, from what I've read about it.

Can't miss a show you've never seen. > NOT A SIGNATURE! PART OF MY POST!

I miss Bryan Fuller.
Can't believe he's had no ideas in two years. All I can see on IMDb is an exec producer's credit on a TV pilotof a comic book adaptation -- though if they've really snagged Paul Giamatti for TV that's one to watch.

We need us some more of those snarky gals

I actually put it down on my dvd rental list, then got impatient and ordered the set from the states.

I love that show, 'tis fabulous, I love it for all the same reasons I love Firefly, and then they come out with crap like Andromeda and it makes me want to cry.

The snarky girls were fun, working in a gift shop, Jaye has become something of a role model, which I just know she would hate, but there you go. And the insane boys were fun, and Eric, dear sweet little Eric, the only sensitive man thats never made me want to upchuck. And Jewels turn as evil woman, its all fun.

Perhaps it a good thing, I once found myself talking to the plastic dinosaurs hoping that they'd talk back.

I miss, very much, but at least I have the shiny discs to play when I want too.

What is it with hollywood totally messing about the great talented and original writers?

Heard many great things about this show so I bought the dvds, but I haven't watched them yet. So I guess I'll miss the show... eventually.

Speaking of missing someone's work... I wonder what Tim Minear is up to these days??

I had hoped that after the opening weekend gross was announced, we'd be talking not just about a guaranteed trilogy but also about the return of other TV shows that could and should be given the big screen treatment.

And if you haven't watched the shows yet, I envy you. There's some great stuff in there.

I desperately miss Wonderfalls. I'm so glad they made the DVDs, Now we need The Inside DVDs (Tim's other show that got FOXed, with Adam Baldwin and Katie Finneran from "Wonderfalls")
A few months back, October? there was and interview with Christopher Buchanan, in which he said he was working on a treatment for a new show with Tim and ZOIC. Of course treatment doesn't equal picked up show, I haven't heard anything since then about it. I just hope FOX isn't involved. The only good thing about the end of The Inside was it was supposed to be the end of Tim's contract with FOX.

I know this may sound stupid, but can someone explain to me what Wonderfalls was about? I never saw the show, but heard a lot of people on this board give the show a lot of high praise. I'm kind of interested in it now. Could someone please tell me about it. Much appreciated.

It's good, but not Firefly good. It has it's moments. It also has moments that make me cringe. They go a little too far to the zany side sometimes.

Though is it just me or does Jaye start to grow on you and become way too attractive by the end? I mean she's decent looking but by the time jewel shows up they're almost on even ground.

I loved the show. I think the pilot is one of the finest I have ever seen. And I loved Jaye Tyler from the very beginning. I keep waiting to see Caroline in something new. She is great.

I loved this show! It was another show that was never given a chance to grow! I loved the whole premise and loved Jaye's apathy towards the world, even when she was forced to do good deeds by the muses. I also loved Dead Like Me, which was cancelled too. I bought the dvd set and just wanted more, just like Firefly. I think I'm going to start a new cable channel called the Second Chance Channel, where all good shows that were cancelled can come and live in peace!

I think this is the best link for infohttp:// www.imdb.com/title/tt0361256/. If you buy the dvd set you wont be disappointed. Also, it comes on tv on "LOGO" Its actually a gay and lesbian channel. If you want to check out the show before buying youll find it there i think on thursdays.

Yep, I miss it too...

I remember when it aired the last (fourth) episode, they cancelled it so abruptly that they still had the scenes from next week on during the credits. It ended with the brother's line "It's a cow." For the entire agonizing period of time it took to get a DVD boxset out, I had that line running through my head constantly.

"It's a cow."

Yes, I loved the show! We had a lively debate here a while back about the order the episodes were shown VS the order they were filmed. I was really sad when it was pulled. I downloaded the torrent versions of the episodes as they became available (even with the crappy sound and unfinished effects), and then bought the series the week it came out.

WEREALLJUSTFLOATING

I loved this show and I have to say I probably wouldn't have watched it if it weren't for Firefly. I was curious to see what kind of show Wonderfalls was simply because of Tim Minear's involvement in it.

I read one of the scripts online and I got the chance to watch it when it aired on Irish TV back in September(?) 2004. But get this - this channel, it's called TV3, aired every episode EXCEPT the last one!! I mean who do they think they are, FOX or something?

So I then felt compelled to buy the box set from the states when it was released. I'm so glad I did as the last episode was a lovely way to end the series, even if 13 eps was all too short. The commentaries are great too by the way.

I can't recommend this show enough. Anyone who loves Firefly will probably love Wonderfalls too, although on the surface they are completely differnt shows.

HERA

WARNING. CONVOLUTED RANT APPROACHING.
The only other board I've ever belonged to is the one for the British band XTC ( http://chalkhills.org/) and they were all chattery about Wonderfalls because Andy Partridge wrote and performed the theme song. From that, I had it in the back of my mind to check the show out, and in the two weeks it took me to get off my butt, the show was already gone.

Do these "people" at FOX know ANYTHING? Don't they realize that new shows need TIME to develop a F*CKING following by WORD OF MOUTH? YES, THIS IS ME SCREAMING!!

OK. I'm better now.

Imagine my surprise when I then learned about this wee show called Firefly that got the same treatment 2 years earlier. Then imagine my continued surprise when after I learn all about Firefly and the 'Verse, I go back to rent disk three of Wonderfalls (because FF/Serenity impaired my viewing skills to the point where nothing else would insert into my DVD player. Yes. I'm better now) and I discover Tim Minear was the executive producer for Wonderfalls. I have great respect for the guy.

It would appear the TV universe hates us. Or FOX thought FF and Wonderfalls were too controversial. What else could explain the plug being pulled so fast? My pet theory is the political climate in the U.S. in 2002 didn't jibe with FF's anti-government subtext, and FOX got spooked. So, possible censorship somewhere? Still mulling that one over. Also trying to fit Wonderfalls into my pet conspiracy theory. What could be agitative about Wonderfalls? Talking figurines? Please. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

So, yes! Wonderfalls is fun and well-written and silly and charming and sexy and well worth owning.

OK. Rant over. *Sigh*. Wrath makes me tired.

hehe I just got to a good episode.

*SPOILERS* for people who haven't seen it all I guess

When Heidi and Jaye wrestle a bit. Mmmmmm very nice. And Jewel was wearing nice leather pants for some of that episode. Also very nice. This is the kind of stuff that should make Fox like the show. What happened?

Yup, I've been re-watching it this week. I may have another "Festival of Good Cancelled Stuff" brewing. Firefly, Wonderfalls, The Tick (live action), Arrested Development, Greg the Bunny, ... sigh

I helped get it on. Got a preview tape of first show and did a survey on it and thought that it was pretty good. Was sorry to see it go. Any show with depth seems to just fade away and the trash goes on forever.

Have a better one!!!
