Conund no more. It's a 'people carryin' papier-mache monster with rootbeer float' float.

Hey, you think we're high enough to do that thing from Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Where they're up in that skyscraper, lean their heads up against the window and look down?

"Close off the last floor?" What, are we bricking off each stairwell as we ascend?

LOL. The postcards are lovely. But did you have to use the picture of me balancing frozen foods on my head?

I am going to get sooo sick of that Jayne hat picture! I wonder if actors and models get tired of looking at themselves in magazines and whatnot? Or perhaps one of the reasons they're successful actors & models is because they enjoy constantly looking at themselves. There must be a bit of vanity in there.

Well, I don't change my own oil too often (lazy). Mostly I just take it to Jiffy Lube and the nice guy that works there tells me what kind of oil he puts in it. It's written on the little sticker in my car window that tells me when I need to get the oil changed again, I just don't ever remember.

Not changing the oil can definitely lead to problems. My first car's engine could testify to that, if it didn't have those holes in it from the rods inside coming out in a way they were not intended to. Just changed mine yesterday. Now that I've gotten rid of my old car "O-Ushi", I have to rake care of my new one, "Serenity" (of course I named it after you)

It's not the oil, I just checked it last weekend. I'm good. It doesn't need to be changed for another 1000ish miles.

If it's a saturn and the first number is 10, then you take 10-w30. Change your oil every 3000-4000 miles and check it every time you get gas so that way unless you suddenly get a massive leak you never wind up more than a quart low. Best to keep a couple extra quarts in the trunk in case you need oil. If you wind up low it's better to add the the wrong weight and or brand than to do without, It's only going to be in the engine till the next change anyways.

I do have a couple quarts in my car and I do check it frequently.

I also have brake fluid, transmission fluid, antifreeze, an oil filter or 2, a gas can, rain X (I swear by that stuff), a funnel, a car emergency kit that has all the tools I need to change a tire or do minor stuff, plus more spare parts like an extender for my socket wrench so it can bend around stuff, spare spark plugs, spare bulbs for various lights, spare fuses, one of those lovely wrenchy things that lets you get the oil filter off since I can't do it by hand, jumper cables, a jack, a rag or 3, a flashlight, a pocket knife, a CPR mask (but my certification ran out, don't stop breathing around me!), one of those crazy silver thermal blankets, and a picnic blanket. Because you never know when you'll need a picnic blanket. Oh, and a spare tire, of course. And my tennis racket and a carton of balls.

I'm sure there's more in the back of my car, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

I can change spark plugs and oil and check my fliuds and do a few minor things. I've changed flats before. In the pouring rain, too!

I'm not helpless, just lazy.

*Mattie pokes her head in and looks around the newest floor. Overhears the float discussion, something about postcards, and "car talk" and wanders in.*

Well, I got lost lurking in the corner on 13 and now, before I know it, I've skipped 14 and gone straight to 15!

Wow! CMS, you sound like you're well covered with your car.

Goodness, aren't cars bothersome sometimes? I took my car to have it safety and emissions inspected two weeks ago (registration's due this month). I passed saftey--yay!--but not emissions because I have a "bad exhaust leak". The dude also told me that the middle tread on my back tires was completely worn, which is probably why I've been sliding around in the snow so much. I took care of my tires--$170 OUCH! And my car's in the shop now for the exhaust leak and other various repairs. I don't think I can afford to drive. What with gas prices and maintenance, yikes! There seems to ALWAYS be something wrong!

Oh, and yay on FIFTEEN floors! I think a nice rootbeer float sounds fantastic!

Wacky fun!

No way. Pastry poker?! That's my FAVORITE game! Too bad I'm more partial to just plain ole bread--fresh baked baguette, croissant, or, if I'm feeling sweet, a pain au chocolate. Though I do perfer a cheese pocket every once-in-a-while. (Humm... which country's pastries do I perfer?) There's a little bakery here in town run by a Frenchman. He makes the most fantastic chocolate ganosh cake I've ever tasted.

Have you ever had a cookie called a petit ecolier? They come from France, but sometimes you can find them in the random grocery store here in the states. It's like a graham cracker/butter cookie with chocolate on top. Uhmmm....yummy!

Wacky fun!

Oh, PS for Seryn. Don't worry about the car stuff. Just enjoy the fact that you can ride mass transit where ever you want to go. I wish we had something as efficient as the tube or train system where I live!

Oh well it was getting a bit to rich for me anyway.

I don't know how you get any richer than a cinnabon. Have you ever tried to eat an ENTRE one of those? I make it half way and have to save the rest for later. SOOOO much sugar!

Too bad for LMD. I'm sorry you don't enjoy tiaramisu! What a shame. How 'bout a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie? They're in the oven right now, and they'll be out in a few minutes. Yum and fresh!

Wacky fun!

Sure. Now try eating a Tiramisu. Like I said too rich for my blood. (Which by the way is a horrid pun since it is one of the classic fold cliches.)

I know, I know. Tiaramisu is a bit richer than a cinnabon. You're right, Dave, you're right.

Oooh, time for The Office!

Wacky fun!

Of course I was going for the concept of eating a tiriamsu after a cinnabon. Though I admit I was very unclear about it.
