how did I miss this before?

oh, i'm so slow.

I was going to launch the world Cup Calvinball games, but iguess we'll have to build the stadium and start the games when its finished.

I'll go phone and architect, you lot enjoy the beers.

Welcom Persephone - quick tour, cause theres newbies, and they may not know what we have to abuse by way of facilities in this fine nook.

Over here, we have the seating area, with a range of sofa, couches daybeds and beanbags, plus the brand new inflatable couch *ssssqreeeek!* - something to suit the fussiest of backsides. Of course, many choose to ignore the furniture and go straight for the supersquishycomfy floor.

Theres also a professional pillow, LMD, and a very good pillow in training, SR.
On that wall is the screen and theres a projector over there somewhere (I upgraded) watch the speakers, they are dodgy stands.

Say hello to the Leafy Sea Dragons, Fred and Ginger, and their many thousands of babies, who are actually getting way to big for the tank and need to be sent back to Oz.
Over here is the Bar, with the full stock, and the big fridge full of pretty much everything, all the time (expiration dates and supermarket runs mean nothing here) the smoothy maker, the popcorn machine (eeeevil thing) the large bowl of apples and oranges waiting in perpetual readiness for a game of cloven fruit, and the the rest of the foodie gubbins.

over there somewhere is the pool, and the trampoline room, feel free to try at any time.

Right, now I've convinced you of my utter crazyness, get yourself a drink, sit back and stare at me wierdly.

Ooh, it's so cute and weeny! A little baby computer monitor! Maybe one day it'll grow up to be a regular sized monitor, if it eats all its veggies.

(Sorry, not helping.)

The Japanese pastor that was here last night, had this teeny laptop. It was neat because the keys had both English and Japanese letters on them. It was maybe the size of a regular sheet of paper ( 8.5 x11") and then maybe a half inch thick.

yup, and then you can get these great honking imonsters that have 17"widscreen monitors, which just go against the whole 'mobile thing' but sure would look pretty perched on my little weeny coffee table as work desk, instead of the huge monitor and separate keyboard, mouse, Cd writer, scanner, speakers and hard drive which are fighting for space there at the moment.

I'm all for miniturisation.

Theres a collage near me giving a starter course in Mandarin. Sooooooo tempted.

I actually meant to get one that size, it's part of a top secret plan I'm working on, but I couldn't give up the comedy value.

As for 17" monitors I really want to get a 22" monitor so...

I've got a dinky laptop somewhere I bought about 8 years ago. It's half the size of a normal laptop, about the same size as two floppy disks put side by side. Still works though the batteries don't.

I've wanted to learn Chinese for years. Originally I wanted to learn Cantonese because Mandarin is the major dialect so everyone learns it, FireFly convinced me otherwise.

you know it amazes me that they don't televise 'jell-O' wrestleing. Strikes me a lot male folks'd be into that. 'Specially if the wrestlers were younger and a lot more female than the wrestlers they have now.

That could be a good little money spinner.

It sometimes is televised, but not as a "real" sport. I personally think that, while not necessarily degrading, it's not something I would be interested in watching as a "sport". I would rather see two females locked in mortal combat over a chess board. I love intellectual women! But I also love warrior women...ah! I love intellectual warrior women, and chess is just the sport to emphasize these traits.

I am not much of a player myself...I am a good teacher up to my level of experience (which is rank amateur). I taught my wife, and in a matter of weeks, she was consistently beating me 5 to 1 games. I informed her that she had indeed snatched the pebble from my palm, and it was time for her to go destroy others, as I had no more to teach her. I am still intrigued by the game, and enjoy watching a really nasty match, but I only play with other rank amateurs so as not to have my ego completely crushed.
