Sung to the Lion King theme tune:

A couple of weeks ago now
The kids had a big surprise.
They turned on the cartoon network
And couldn't believe their eyes.
The animals on the cartoons
Have left the screens and escaped
They wandered the streets and they had
Adopted their natural states.

Wasn't it grand?
Wasn't it great?
When the cartoons
All went to assume
Their natural state

Mickey Mouse felt his vertebrae snap
With his head caught in a trap,
Eating the cheese
And full of disease
In his natural state.

The day they just all discarded
Their anthropomorphic ways.
They burst out the TV sets and
They changed the way they behaved.
Ermintrude the Cow was sorry
When back in her natural state,
Cos Damien Hurst had sliced her
And put her up in the Tate.

Their natural state,
Their natural state.
Don't be upset
But most of them met
A grizzly fate.

Bugs Bunny spent his very last day
In laboratoire Garnier
Feeling a bit cross
Testing out lip gloss
In his natural state.
His natural state.
And Earthworm Jim
Found himself in
A fisherman's bait.

Peter Rabbit and his friends
Got hit by Mercedes Benz
Like Mr Toad
Found dead on the road
In his natural state.
His natural state

Some of our friends
Met quite sticky ends
On restaurant plates.
Daffy Duck met the end to his days
With an aromatic glaze,
Nice crispy skin
And topped with Hoi Sin
In his natural state.

They wound up beaten,
Chopped up and eaten
In their natural state.

Each cartoon critter
Cooked in a fritter;
Each animation
Fried up like bacon
When the cartoons
Went to assume
Their natural state.

I make my coffee very differently than most people. See, it involves a whole lot of Captain Morgan's and absolutely no coffee whatsoever. Sorry, I just never got into the coffee thing, on the bright side, more for you.

Believe it or not, if I do not have access to Irish whiskey, Captain Morgan's is the next best thing to put in coffee...or next to the coffee...or in lieu of, if there's enough of it!

I used to love coffee, I still do, every so often I can resist the urge and go get a huge mug of caramel latte or something, with nutmeg sprinkles. Then buy myself a pack of headache pills on the way home.

But of course, this is the Nook, where nothing has any umwanted side effects. So Tristan, coffee me up!

having monday's off must be nice. But I do so enjoy having a proper weekend off. Only I never have proper weekend. I was very busy Saturday. I roofed a house in the morning and then danced the night away, and then stayed up till the wee hours online, as it goes.

And so yesterday I was a complete zombie. And then, I couldn't sleep even though I was so very very tired.

I recorded the season finale (pt. 1) of Grey's Anatomy because I wanted to sleep and then lay in bed and listened to the VCR recording the whole thing.

How's that working for you O? I started a few months ago. about 4. I've stopped drinking anything with sugar, and drastically cut portions and started watching what I eat, going for leaner meaner food stuffs, and substituted most sweets with fruit. Down 40 so far. Good luck. well worth the effort, and you'll feel better too. Cutting sugars helps you not want them so much.

It's going alright. It's only been a few days since I started, so no major roadblocks yet. My plan is to just cut out soda first, to see if I can handle the general idea. Also been eating less in general (it's easy when you sleep through breakfast).

In a couple weeks I plan on cutting out more stuff (ketchup's gonna be the big one).
