hate to go OT on the first reply (wait, do we have a topic? is it even possible to go OT?), but is anyone else having any trouble with zazzle? I've been trying to order my Serenitree shirt for a couple days now and when I hit checkout I get a page cannot be displayed error =/ (disclaimer: i haven't really investigated this, i'm just trying to get an easy answer with no work involved ;D)

Aaaheymen to that last part! Let's just avoid talking about relationships all together!!!

Ahh, I can relax! Some nice, cool lemonade or a big glass of ice water sounds exceedingly refreshing, especially by a poolside.
*Mattie dons her swimsuit and commences tanning under the sun lamps.*

Oh, I've no problem with speaking of relationships. Relationships are good things. It's just since both of my brothers had their weddings within a year of each other, several years ago, I've been getting the "So when are you.....?" questions from too many people. I'll get there when I get there. Not opposed to it, just don't need the questions.

Haha, thank goodness my house isn't that hot yet but it seriously shot up nearly 30 degrees in a matter of a few days. It was all nice and pleasant and then all of a sudden it was 80 then 90 then 95 and I'm wondering where this came from! Ah, summer is so fun...

Wait... you guys have summer already? Thats not fair. We have an illusion of summer - bright blinding sunlight and birds everywhere, but its still bloody cold. Whatever happened to the moderate heat/few hourse of sunniness/pretty blue skys summers we use to have? Now its either bake to death or freeze yer ass off.

Did you get to put it on some girl's leg? A friend of mine caught the bouquet and didn't realize that the guy that caught the garter was going to put it on her leg. She was mortified! We had to practically hold her down on the chair and she kept holding her skirt down at her knee so the guy couldn't get it on. But, you know, when her wedding came around, there they were, flinging garters about!

I caught the bouquet at my best friend's wedding, 6 years ago. I think that's enough for me. I refuse to even try now.

No she brought a commited boyfriend with her to the wedding so we didn't even go there.
They later told me that if the lady let's you put it on her thigh then she wants to date, but if you only get it to the calf then it's let's find ourselves other people.

Ah, yes. The "so when are you...?" questions. I understand. Weddings are/marriage is a big deal where I live. If you're 25 and single you're pretty much considered a menace to society. Haha!
The only reason I'm opposed to "relaionship" talk just now (and usually I'm not) is cuz... well... let's just say Mattie's love life came to a screeching halt just recently.
No worries. I'm back to The Nook and I can totally relax (at least virtually).

oh yes, my cat will love the water bed.

No, its not the alliance. It my decidedly les glamorous landlord. It got to the point where he has to fix the house up or fails all his inspections (and, er, the house falls down) So the wiring needs replacing, the back section of the house needs a 'damp course injection', new window need putting in and the roof needs fixing, and after all that is done, it will probably need replastering and decorating. Which means (in the best possible scenario of them doing it all at roughly the same time) tha we'll have no electricity, no heating, no hot water and no windows for some time, all of our belongings will have to be stored elsewhare (and at the very least moved to the centers of each room) so really we cant live in the house. My mother may be able to stay at her boyfriends house, my brother and his girlfriend were planning to move in together soonish, so they may move their plans forward, but i have nowhere to go.

I do have one slim chance, a friend has just moved into a new shared house, and her house mates arn't moving back in until the start of term (september) so if they do it all this summer, hopefully it means I may be able to ask her. She could do with what money I could give her, and i need the roof!

Worst case scenario - i end up in a tent at a my mums boyfriends dads garden (its huge! ;ife a small woods) which is fine, don't mind camping, but it means that I don't get to see you guys at all!

Promise you'll all write to me?

aye, it is an excessively cute emoticon.

yup, something wil work out.

My biggest worry is that the landlord will then whack the rent up, we wont be able to afford it or any other place (since we moved, the rents in the area have shot up.) so i'm kind of concerned full stop.

I think its just becoming really important now to just get another, full time, job, no matter how sit it is, and just slug it out, to pay full rent on a place and until my college debts are paid off and I can think about doing something careery.

of course, I should have actually benn able to work that out from your very first post.

ok, its the fifth day of the school holidays, and i work in the toyshop of a free museum, my brain has checked out already - basic motor functions are still there, but the rest of it has retreated to a small safe place for its own protection.

please forgive my temporary stupidity.

(hopefully it's temporary)

ok, if I wasn't already, i'm now going to lie down, a pillow would be tremendously helpfull, as would a cool cloth to stick on my forehead and a tape repeating the phrase 'its just till monday' 'its just till monday' over and over again would be just grand.

Seryn:

Sounds fun. When I was living in Hull the house was a death trap, literally, how I didn't get electrocuted is beyond me.

I suspect the wiring is like that still, plus the landlord sub letted while I was away, so I came back to find myself homeless and kipping on a mates floor.

I asked for my rent back, which they gave along with a bill for a phantom vacuum cleaner which cost a hundred and fifty pounds (strangely exactly what they owed me in rent, funny that).

Then they rung the council to charge me council tax for a house I WASN'T living in because they had sub letted it and then CHARGED me for the pleasure...

Which explains why I want to buy, because land lords suck and should be beaten daily with sticks.

Glad I could make your day!

I am not trying to give anyone a run for anything!!! If I were to get involved in an emoticon challenge with Jadehand, he would crush me like a bug! The Forsaken went on an emoticon quest, and that is all we have been doing for almost three days now...I saw the jig, and Persephone is the first person that popped into my mind.

*joins in the dance*

I did find another that reminded me of this thread...

Aww! How sweet. I feel loved (Either that or I've been bothering Tristan so much about his Irish jig that he can't escape putting the two together )
*continues dancing*

Frolicking is fun but spelled very oddly if you look at it too long...anyway, I finally caved in and signed up for myspace- totally off topic (if we even have a topic at the moment other than pillows and frolicking)- but it's pretty plain and I don't have any friends yet so you guys should go check it out:)
