Is it one of these? Though none of these are quizes so probably not.

http://www.stupidstuff.org/main/piratename.htm (Which gives me the name Captain Keelhauler)

http://www.froggynet.com/cgi-bin/pirate.cgi (Which gives Capn Thomas)

ack! I forgot to email the computer guy! Shoot.

No, he needed to be emailed. My computer was acting wonky from the moment I got into work. It had apparently decided to go to sleep and not wake up and I tried many many things to get it to work. I tried to shut it down, but it wouldn't shut down. I tried C/A/D, but nothing. I yelled at it, nothing. I kept pushing the power button, but it just ignored me. FINALLY, it decided to wake up on it's own. Just *staticycracklesound* woke up. Stupid gorram thing.

I'll have to remember to tell him on Sunday.

I'm in a bad mood today...things just aren't going well for me. For the past couple of weeks I've sensed the old feelings peeking over my shoulder, waiting to return. Late yesterday it decided to make itself known. I'm feeling quite down :(

-edit- i'm not really sure where it's coming from (not that i ever really did in the past) beyond some very vague notions. There's some frustration with some (trivial) decisions I'm making in my life but nothing that should cause me to feel thusly.

Did you push and hold the power button? New power buttons are software switches, you press it and it sends a message to the OS telling it to shut down. If you press and hold it (ussual four seconds) it sends a message to the power supply to cause a hard shutdown.

I'll likely stick to my old pirate name Black Jack Rackham. But the three tests gave the following:

1)Wild Eyed John, Cannibal Drake Ironman, Mad Tom Storm

2)Keeper Kidd the Drunk, Swashbuckler James the Drunk Tongue(how did it know??)

3)Mast Hugger Hannibal, Rough-Sailin' Louis, Pirate Palgrave the Ochre, Cap'n Patrick Backstabber

Yup Black Jack Rackham is still most fitting.

Actually no and no. The Master adn Commander books are on the list as a possible thing to read if I find myself with the time and resources to start reading a lengthy series of books after I've read a couple other lengthy series of books that are also on my list of things to read sometime.

I picked up the shanty from Jaws as has been previously noted. Also heard in Jaws:

Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I wanna go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it went strait to my head

Which isn't a shanty but is faintly piratish maybe.

If you liked Robert Shaw in Jaws, see if you can find a copy of Swashbuckler in your local video rental. Shaw plays the pirate captain Red Ned Lynch with a very young James Earl Jones. It's very piratical.
