Okay, well I have an unhealthy obsession with Jayne, and the other day I decided to watch Ordinary People and Adam Baldwin was in it, a small part, but excellent nonetheless . The man is amazingly hot, I mean just amazingly. Right, back to my point. If anyone saw any good Adam Baldwin movies please give them a mention, I haven't seen him in anythgin else besides of course Firefly and Ordinary People (I do realize I can look this stuff up, but I'm more interested in hearing good reviews from the people here). Thanks!

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

He plays a bad-ass military man in Independence Day. He was also, I believe, in Full Metal Jacket. Really, he's been in about as many movies as Kevin-frickin-Bacon.
Might wanna check the "six degrees of Firefly" thread for a few other mentions.

Thanks Phoenix! He is one to drool over most definitly. And I'm not normally one to go for the "jock" type, guys I've liked have normally been shorter than me and semi-muscular as Wash would say, but something about Jayne I'm glad his type cast isn't a bad one!

I like the semi-muscular myself. But there is certainly nothing wrong with the way our dear Adam looks, is there?
I have to say, I think most Firefly peoples is pretty and wouldn't mind knawing on any of 'em...

What? Brain came unhinged.

Most definitly nothing wrong with the way he looks, nothing at all. Heh, despite loving Book's character, ummmm, he's not my type Of course I would drool all over him if I happened to run into him in the street, but that's a different story, just the shock of meeting him would initiate drool And he;s a little old, of course I have an unhealthy obsession with Paul McCartney as well, but that;s a story for another day. He is well-preserved though (meaning Ron Glass) Gosh the boys of Firefly are pretty! I mean...handsome.

I would actually prefer Ron Glass the person to Book the character. Ron Glass is a Buddhist and Book is... not. I find the man more attractive than the character. Actually the same holds true of Jayne and Adam. I don't agree with Adam's political leanings, but he's handsome and intelligent, whereas Jayne is... Not stupid, but kind of dense. Kind of insensitive.
Yes, Ron is a little old. But Adam is also old for me. I don't care, I can still drool and gah. Reality tends to be very different from what happens inside my head, anyway.

I never really thought about separating the person from the character. They sort of become one in my mind. I guess age doesn't matter that much in terms of my mind, nor does being realistic, seeing as how I will probably never meet any of these people let, alone play out whatever goes on within my headWith Jayne I find his stupidity oddly cute, even though I have a pretty low tolerance for stupid people normally, (please don't take this the wrong way, I just mean people who purposely don;t even try to do well in school when they have all the opportunity in the world) but I mean he's like a dumb dog, stupid but you love them and Jayne wearing his mother's hat is just TOO sweet. Jayne I can also see as sort of a protector, and ready to fight for you, unless he's offered money to sell you away of course Fortunatly I never involved myself with politics, and honestly believe pretty much all politicians to be lying, coniving, greedy you-know-whats. (Or I could be bring cynical). I didn't actually know Ron Glass was a Buddhist, that's neat, I would think about converting because I'm one of those weirdos who won;t swat at bugs etc...but I believe in my faith too well to do so. Wow, I wrote alot.

D.c Cab is hilarious but Adam Baldwin's character is more nice and shy. I think the only movie that I cant watch him in is "Radio Flyer". He's a child beater in that one, you rarely see his face but you know its him. I just cant watch it without getting pissed off at him, which in the acting world means he did a great job but since i have seen what child abuse looks like, I dont care to see it in movies. In "Next Of Kin" he played another bad guy but good. "My Bodyguard" was a good one. I remember this tv movie called "Deadbolt" with Justine Bateman and he was scary. He's done so many...you should go to imdb.com, there should be a whole list there. take care!

Shepard used to tell me...can't do something smart, do something right.
I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark.

Thanks! I'll see what I can do about finding any of these. Seeing as my birthday isn't TOO far away I'll probably be asking my friends to buy me some stuff of his. Should be fun. I'll probably end up watching Radio Flyer, even though it sounds sad.

I think it was the "Here's how it was: the making of Firefly" special feature that had them talking about Ron Glass being Buddhist. Apparently there were a few times when Tim Minear said something like "You're acting like a Buddhist! Stop playing it as a Buddhist!" when working with Ron.
He always seems very joyful in interviews, really likes to laugh. He's cool.

Wow, I watched that too, ah well, having a senior moment. Can't a teenager have a senior moment? Ah well, he does seem to be happy though, although a conversation with him would be interesting. (e.g. Me: Hi Mr. Glass Him:Hahahahahaha Me: Hahahahaha Him:Hahahahaha Me: Nice talkign to you, bye!) That's definitly how it would go.

My Bodyguard, anyone? Came out early '80's when I was in junior high and I've been hooked on Adam Baldwin ever since. And just a note: he just gets better as he gets older!

Simon: That's not much.
