Hey everyone,

Any other Browncoats playing World of Warcraft (still)? My girl friend just got a fancy, new, magic, state of the art computer; so now, after a year of sharing a single account, we can finally play World of Warcraft together--at the same time, side by side, concurrently, as a team, simultaniously--and it's, as the kids say, awesome!

As a pair we've actually found some decent, fun-loving folks to play with, but, alas, our play time and their play times don't always (read seldom) overlap. We need more DFLF to play with!

So anyway, anyone on this board playing the game? Extra points if you play on a RP or RPPvP server. May your Dark Lady never dull!

I play WoW. But not right now though. I'm unemployed. I play an undead rogue on a PVP server - Bonechewer.

Hey there, LMD! What game was it where you met? I don't know what y'all are into, but I really recommend that you choose a Role Playing or a Role Playing Player vs. Player server, 'cause the folks on these kinds of servers are consistently more sociable, more helpful and more, well, mature than folks on the regular servers. And I don't have any hard statistics to back me up, but I've played on all the different types of servers and it sure seems that more women and more RL couples play on the RP servers as well. Anyway, if you find yourself on Steamweedle Cartel (RP), Lightninghoof (RPPvP-Alliance) or Twisting Nether (RPPvP-Horde), let me know and we can have a mini cyber shindig or something!

My hubby and I both play, as well as my brother and my two sisters, and my dad. And the whole family (all nine of us) are Browncoats, so much so that my sisters have retired their Alliance characters, saying that no true Browncoat would be a member of the Alliance.

We're pretty entrenched with our guild, but maybe start a Firefly related guild on an RP server? I'd bet there are a ton of people in WoW who have seen Firefly, but aren't Browncoat enough to be reading here.

We're planning on starting up tonight, I think. We do tend to go to RP servers as they are generally more mature as you said.

We met playing DAoC. It was her first MMO and maybe the 2nd I had ever played (though by the time I met her I'd played several other MMO's).

I love that idea. A guild called the Browncoats would be awesome! Just tell me what server and whihc faction and I'll definately join.

On the Kargath Server there is a Serenity Guild Run by a character called Kaylee. Their website is http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=32647&TabID=291759 , They are one of the biggest on Kargath. I on one that server and I've had trouble logging in lately because too many people are on at that time. So there are some Browncoats playing WOW.

Bah, I was playing WoW, but I stopped.

I dunno, I was playing with some guys I'd known for awhile in teamspeak, but just couldnt get into it.

I've said this before, but here I go again:

Imo, there is only one reason to play MMORPGs, and that's folks you know. It like anything else is something to do with other folks, and the other people, not the game are the focus.

If you dont have people you want to play with, it just isnt fun. WoW, along with most MMORPGs, just isnt a fun game. It's big and grand and sorta epic-ish, but not really fun. So if you lose that spark of enjoyment, it's gone. After that, you're just picking out the best virtual clothes for your virtual doll, and using it to whack on virtual stuffed animals in the shape of skeletons, or other people's dolls. Bah.

'Sides, WoW takes up a ton of time I could spend... doing nothing, but at least it'd be different kinds of nothing.

Ok, that's my jaded-ness. Sorry, enjoy your WoWing. Just whenever people mention it, I blow up at em into this grand speach.
