Wow, I can't believe it's week 20. That's amazing. I know I'm a day early, but o well.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.


I put in 10 miles hiking over the weekend. Pretty hot, but we were along the river so we would hope in to beat the heat from time to time.

Hitting the gym again today.

Keep up the great work everyone. It is paying off!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.


Got in 45 minutes of heavy cardio Monday and 30 minutes on the weights. Did 35 minutes on weights Tuesday and 20 minutes on the stationary bike.

Glad to see we still have a few people sticking with it.

@ Exotick--welcome!

My "workouts" this week have consisted of removing a ton of guinea grass and weedwacking a trail to one of the waterfalls/swimming ponds. Then I continued pruning and cleaning up the trail yesterday. Today I've done light weeding and so on. That's probably what I'll do for the rest of the week, along with lawn mowing unless the people I'm working for get back and teach me how to chainsaw.

I've also been swimming 20-30 laps across one of the waterfall swimming ponds every day. May even hike tomorrow if I can figure out where the trail to the beach is.

Got in an hour of heavy cardio yesterday. Did 35 minute on the cross trainer and 25 on the stationary bike. Burned nearly 800 calories!

Will be working on light weights and then some more cardio today.

My body is still recovering from the shock of going back to the gym but I did manage to take a Pilates class yesterday...baby steps right?

Yah, I remember when I first started (and subsequent restarts) that my body complained a fair bit too. Not to worry though, it'll get used to it. Just remember not to over do it. No-one wants to see you get hurt

Welcome to the new members. Everything is pretty simple but if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Definitely do not try to do too much- I am out of the routine at the moment but am doing my best to ease myself into exercising regularly.

I went to the gym Wednesday and spent a half hour on the elliptical. Today I went for a walk with mom- 2 miles. I'm going to try and get to the gym tomorrow for some weights and such. We'll see. Keep up the good work everyone.

SASSALICIOUS


Today and the next 2 days are going to be really basic/easy tasks for me--hand weeding and mowing the lawn with a riding lawnmower. Why is it going to be easy instead of intense as previously planned?

Because I fell. Not just fall, mind you. I toppled over a 10-12 ft ledge that was concealed by cut guinea grass while stretching to cut down dead banana tree branches. We're not sure what happened because we're pretty sure I knocked myself unconscious, but all I know is I toppled with a bigass polesaw in my hand and the next thing I know is I'm lying on the ground on my back facing the opposite direction. I emerged unscathed except for a few scrapes and backaches now.

I tried to swim, but it just wasn't happening. Boo.

I kind of feel like a dirty hippie right now, but I'm loving every moment.

Wow, glad to hear you're mostly okay!

Went for a nice long walk yesterday. I'm guessing it was around 3.5 miles but I'm not sure. I was gone for about 1 hr and 15 min so that should equal over 3 miles.
