What's the position?
Can't lock in.

oh, new floor! ipromise to spend more time here too, i neglected the other floor and feel terrible. Bad helen! I can't remember the last time i visited the nook, i shall make a new thread for that if needs be soon aswell.

what were we talking about? oh, yes, fainting - i don't tend to wobble too much - both people who have seen me faint said i stood stock still, then just dropped like a stone - but my vision does go funny - it starts to darken at the edges, then goe black from the outside in. very scary. but mercifully, i've only ever done it twice.

almost three times, but the funniest thing happened - my vision was almost totally black, but then i felt the girl next to me go down, and must have got an adrenalin rush or something cause before i knew it i had recovered and hauled her out into the cool (we were in a lecture theatre that could comfortably seat 150 people, on a record hot day in july, wit at least 799 0thers. Warm stuffy, cramped, all we needed were crowd surfers and a rock band.

I've never told that to anyone else before. Up until now i've maintained the stance that i do not faint and i do not throw up. Isn't that funny?

guys? guys?

Figures, the only time guys listen is when they're fast asleep.

ah well, perfect excuse to get this baby out again.

Everybody - say thank you Arcadia.

no it doesn't! there should be equal rights and equal nudity.

of course, if there was gratuitous female chest showing, then firefly would have been x rated (don't blame me, blame weird outdated western gender conventions) and even less people would have seen it.

so just enjoy the man flesh and you vague recollections of the Inara sponge bathing scene.

Exactly, personally I think Jewel of Morena's naked arse would pull in better viewer figures than Nathan's too, so I just don't understand it.

I throw up, but not until the next morning usually when its worse because I'm sober and hung over.

I've only fainted about three times, once getting an injection, mumps I think, I get sissyfied with needles but I can ussually control it. I felt funny after getting it, so I stood up straight and closed my eyes and tried to centre myself. By virtue of being a kid and not very good at it I woke up on the nurses couch.

One other time was through blood loss, some kid cut open my neck because I told him to leave my friend alone, then I was sent to the headmasters office for fighting. Then my vision went blue and the next thing I know I was waking up surrounded by scared dinner ladies.

Then there was the time I had a metal bar wrapped around my head.

I've never passed out, well not with out help from alcohol. You should avoid getting your neck cut open and having a metal bar wrapped around your head in the future, sounds like those things don't agree with you.
I used to hate needles, but then I spent 3 years putting them in people.

Perhaps, but the audience they would get would overwhelmingly consist of the highly coveted 18 to 36 year old male demographic that is highly coveted by advertisers - I think on the theory that persons of that gender and age range are easily swayed by advertising.

Think I missed a couple floors.

At any rate, here I am. Hopefully I'll have more time on my hands from now on to keep coming back instead of saying that and then not showing up again for weeks. But then I've said that before, too.

Did somebody say salisbury steak?!

No? Oh...nevermind, then.

Can't say I've ever passed out before. Put under? Yes. Passed out? No.

I think someone is tired, and it occurs to me that i've enjoyed the services of a pillow often but never returned the favor.

*offers to pillow for Jadehand*

I DO NOT throw up. It just doesn't happen. I may have done, once or twice maybe in the past, from illness, i had food poisoning one christmas, so i must have one at some point. But officially its not something that i do. If i feel nauseous now i just repress it. I'm very good at it. I repress sneezes as well. Don't ask me how, i just got told when i was 23 that i don't sneeze properly.

But i will relent on the fainting stance - 'specially if i ever find myself in a room full of uniformed types.

mmmh-mmmmmm. Yummy.

i've always been one to vomit, lol, although there was a period once of something like 3 years where I didn't. I have a very weak stomach, though, so if I drink too much it's going to come out. Alcohol doesn't seem to have much effect on me besides that (and of course the spinning thing, on occasion).

I think I understand the sneezing thing...I tend to repress them, if that's what you'd call it.

Ah, what a sucky weekend! I'm actually glad it's Monday and I get to come to work.
I've never fainted--come close, though. I blacked out after I got my ears pierced when I was eight. I don't know if that counts, though. I just sat down and waited for the feeling to pass, but I never lost consciousness.
I was a sickly teenager , so I had my share of... that subject we're not talking about. Has anyone ever had to drink Fleet Phosphate, or Go-Litely before for a medical procedure? Hum... yeah. Two cups of that stuff would make ANYONE --two TEASPOONS would do that.
Enough of that. I'm going to try and be cheerful. I'll let you know how that goes, though.
