Morning, fellow Forsaken!
Looks like email notification is working again...and showed up with a backlog! I've got about 100 of these to go through...I may be gone awhile. Keep the coffee warm for me!

Morning all...Hey it's a FMF sighting...For those who don't know FMF is a rare and wonderful creature, but not often sighted. So make the most of it, if she's on:)

It seems quiet on the FORSAKEN front these past couple of days. I know I am completely drained, coming back from DragonCon to work doubles on Wednesday and Thursday that spanned 18 hours apiece. *sigh* At least I have the weekend off, seeing as the hot blonde bartender wanted to cover my shift and I was all to glad to let her.

* stokes the Pyre, tossing on several large logs soaked in a mixture of gasoline and motor oil. He throws his clothes from his body, a cigarette in his mouth as he leans down to light it on the sacred flames.

Yay for the FMF sighting, it's always good to see her, even if only for a moment.

* runs around the room grabbing people and pulling them into a group fire dance around the roaring flames, yelling and screaming with glee as it is Friday and also payday.

I hope you folks have a shiny day, and weekend too.

Afternoon Forsaken!

Yeah Friday... Oh wait not Yeah. Gotta go home after work and clean the house, and help make a cake, and get ready to decorate, and.....

The list goes on and on. Daughter is turning the big 5 on Tuesday and we are having her party this Sunday.

Did I mention that I hate having people in my house. It drives me nuts. My house is small enough as is. When you crowd my family and the wife's family and some friends I feel trapped!

*Grabbs a cup of coffee, Waves at FMF and dances around the fire*

MSG - Yup the big 5. She started Kindergarden on Weds. and loved it I guess. "except for the hard stuff" whatever that means. Something about having to clean up and mumbling. I think it is because it is new.

We got her in a Charter School. The big catch for us is that they start teaching foreign languages right off the bat. So on Weds when she got home she was saying Hola instead of hello for the rest of the day.

that's great!! It's always best to develop those languages early when your brain can still absorb them...so did you rush right out and buy some videos and cd's in spanish so she gets used to hearing it?

MSG - No we did not have to run out. Gotta love Dora the Explorer. She already knows some colors, shapes and a few other words. That is why she wanted to take Spanish. She could have taken French if she wanted to but she wants to be like Dora!

I know enough in several languages to get myself in touble. I can usually ake out what is being said in Spanish if it is slow enough. It has been a while for me but I figure I will be relearning while helping with homework.

I have always wanted to learn Japanese but have never gotten the oppoptunity. My College doesn't teach it.

Kelkhil, I give PsychoBilly refreshers by watching movies he knows in Spanish. Just wish it weren't such a regionally muddled language.
Slang anyone?

There is truly something whimsical about the FMF sightings. Should start collecting footprint castings, fuzzy pictures, and hair samples.

* Bursts into the room, his feet scattering ash and hot coals. He stomps over to his corner, cigarette already burning in his mouth, and takes a long pull from the large bottle of whisky by his plants.

Sorry, I am really just writing angsty stuff to vent some personal frustrations.

* He grabs a large glass vase and smashes it against the ceiling, causing the shards to rain down upon his own head, small lines of blood running down his cheek to his bared chest.

Destruction and mayhem is debauchery, right?

* Removing his lower vestments, he dances into the fire, grinning with sadistic delight as the flames engulf his flesh and flare upwards due to the alcohol content of his blood.

There. Now back to your regularly scheduled FORSAKEN activities.

That's the problem with having everyone spread out all over the world. Whenever I'm online it usually means that everyone else is either at work or in bed, no matter where they are. Or maybe they're all just hiding behind the sofa staying really quiet until I go away.

Sorry, I think my tablets are making me a bit paranoid!

*backs out of thread, feeling stupid*

I did French and German at school, and faked my way through a post-grad Latin course (only one without an A-level, but they didn't catch on for half a term - I'm a quick study)

However, I have forgotten it all. I am fluent in menu, and that's about it.

I taught myself to swear in Basque, to annoy some uptight co-workers, and I'm picking up Mandarin from somewhere (can't think where... ) but I feel very dumb coming onto this thread. I have no survival skills and no real career skills. Until someone pays me for my writing, I'm just a wannabe. As someone so kindly said, once - "You're not a proper writer. Authors get paid. You just scribble."

Too tired and sad to dance. I hate working Saturdays. 8-6. Does this seem right to you?
