Ok, I'm going to add the Loafer's Nook Index to the Hidey index, then we can just add threads to that as we go.
The Index/Elevator is located here: http://fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=11&t=22396

*Sets up lots of comfy couchs and recliners.
*Closes bar.
*Opens Juice and water bar.
*Turns on soft music.
*Dims lights.
*Goes to sleep.

Glad everyone got back safely. See you soon.

hallo dears.

Ah, before i get to the enforced nutrition ingestion, and the napping, Serenity i need the details for the globe from you - i need prices and when we move to the con hotel most importantly as they dictate if i can go or not. (plays can be expensive and i don't want to be intruding on your noconholiday time) as i'm on a limited budget and i still haven't payed Sean for the ticket! argh! two holidays on one pay packet, not a good idea folks!

but yes, give me the time date (i can work that out for myself i know, but i want your confirmation) price and your seat numbers and i'll phone them at the weekend.

yey! London!

the nutrition ingestion isn't enforced, feel free to reopen the bar, that was just my indication that I wanted some space from it for a while.
it'll be a bit before i get a true holiday again.

Emailing you now, sweetie.

They have cheaper tickets than the ones I bought. For 5 pounds you can be a grounder.

yes, i did consider the groundling option.

I don't know how long the play is, but i think i prefer the sitting option!

Ok, i don't think i can afford the seats that you have, if the seats next to you are available, then i'll get them, but if not, i'll go somewhere cheaper, up a level maybe.

i seriously underestimated the money i had left, after i've paid Sean, baught tickets and travel costs, i've only got about £40 left for the weekend.

No shopping! And lunch from boots methinks.

But i'll be in london, and i shall have seen Antony and Cleopatra at the Globe, and a shiny Kaylee signature shall be mine! so money pales into insignificance...

now, i'm off on yet another quest for bias binding! I'm going to buy shares I swear....

on and interesting note, i found a company who make binding in actual gold. real gold colour, not like a mushroom or orange or yellow, but gold. And silver too.

'cept they're in singapore.

ah well.

ha ha...

ok, i just went to amend a standing order, and checked the balance while i was there.

Groundling it is!

But thats kind cool, i stand for hours on end at gigs all the time, and its basically the same thing, but this time i can flirt and elbow my way to the front and get really close up looks at those exquisit costumes....

actually loving the groundling idea now....

means i can go on the tour too, i wonder if the cats are there... (last time i went on a tour it was backstage and they have these two monster cats, they were the size of laboradors i swear, and the girl cat was expecting kittens any day. Will be nice to see if they kept any of the kittens.)

See, apparently costume people are cat people... I'm doomed to be the crazy cat lady. Just gonna embrace it now.

No, i'll get my own tickets! you guys are on holiday, i'm not taking any of your money, you need it for spends.

And i shan't starve whilst Boots do parsnip crisps in their value meals. mmmmmmm... parsnip crisps.

I think i'm more sore about being in the vicinity of berwick street and not having the cashy money to go fabric shopping.

mind you, thinking about it, when have I ever had the cash to buy fabric from berwick street? I think i managed it once and that was on a show budget and i bought about half a metre.

I thought the woman was going to bite me.

But you know what we can still go and drool.

Not literally, not on the pretty silks, cause that would get us kicked out, but you know what i mean.

And Brick lane - the Sari shops, and the jewellry shops. And Queens and the venetian mask shop in Spitalfields.

Bah, Serenity, you'd better stay monday, we have a whole day of window shopping to do.

Mainly so that i can do t-shirts that i want to wear - pretty ones in oriental inspired firefly patterns, and now to see how popular Geek Pride bits and bobs would be, and i was thinking, would we like nook and hidy towers t shirts? seeing as theres no lower limit on numbers (they print on demand) I figured we may as well.

I'm going to start designs as soon as i've finished the last project, but if anyone else had ideas, tell me.

I love cats and snakes. 5 foot long? Is it a boa? Nothing sweeter than having a constrictor cuddling up next to you for body heat on a cold night. No innuendo. I like snakes. Although most of my experience has been with small snakes. Truly no innuendo.

I hope somebody sets up a thread to share S3 with us while we are at home working.

I do love corn snakes. I've had several. 5 feet sounds long for a corn snake. Do they grow bigger in California, are the rats bigger than most, or do you think eating his mate made him longer? Have you had Rusty since he was a babe?

You should take a picture of him with a sign that says, "Snakes on Serenity." It would be funny to add to the Big Damn Thank You site.

Reptiles don't stop growing. The only thing that controls thier size is the amount of food they get and their environment. A small box make for a small snake, but you can not expect certain breeds to get longer than a certain length before they die.

Thanks, I did know that. Mine were small because they were in glass aquariums. It's just that I thought most corn snakes can get up to 3 to 4 feet long. 5 feet long just sounded large to me. I was just joking about the California corn snake: like does the California sun grow them longer?

Sounds like you enjoy reptiles as well as scorpions. I've also had an iguana. How about you? Have any pets?

my friend used to have a tiny little green snake, used to love curling around my wrist and falling asleep (warmth from the pulse point?) but i freaked someone out one day when they complimented my bracelet and i offered to let them wear it.

Never seen missionaries move so fast.

I haven't measured him recently, last couple of times he shed I just threw it, but he's certainly on his way.

He's getting fat too, fatty fatty corn Snake.

I haven't had him from hatchling, but he's doubled in size in the year I've had him. Ideally I'd get him a new vivarian. He has this log he used to curl up and sleep in, now he can barely fit in one twice the size. Though he gets upset if I take the old one away (happy childhood (hatchlinghood?) memories?)

He'll eat some pretty big creatures if he's being greedy...

Somebody just ran a thread about pets for a school project. It had some interesting points that you might want to consider before taking on the responsibility of a pet rock.

Are rock's intelligent? Would it be happy with you? Would it be a member of the family or just a pet? Before making a rash decision you should evaluate how much time you would have to play with it. Would you be able to put it up on the security log during the day, so that it could bask in the sun? Are you responsible enough to make sure it had a nice place to snuggle in at night?

Are you at a point in your life to take on this lengthy commitment? You know rocks have a very long life.

Sorry, I got carried away.
