I'm feeling somewhat lost and directionless, hence the title...anyone with me? With (now) 29 floors, it's easy to get lost...

And... golf, cuz we didn't, and still don't, have to wear numbers on our jerseys.

I keep striking out. I can't understand it either I've got the best line ever. I'll walk up to a bit of spun all natural fiber and say, "Hey silky, howzabout you an' me putting a stitch in time." And then they throw their bobbin at me.

It's discouraging.

My brain hurts too - though not from work. I think I've contracted an annoying little virus of the rhino variety. I'm like a moaning flegm factory and as much as I would like to sleep I can't in more than a two hour stretch. Oh well off to dose myself with over the counters and feel miserable.

I got it from Agnes By Tom Lehrer

I love my friends, and they love me,
We're just as close as we can be.
And just because we really care,
Whatever we get, we share!

I got it from Agnes,
She got it from Jim.
We all agree it must have been
Louise who gave it to him.

She got it from Harry,
Who got it from Marie,
And everybody knows that Marie
Got it from me.

Giles got it from Daphne,
She got it from Joan,
Who picked it up in County Cork,
A-kissin' the Blarney Stone.

Pierre gave it to Sheila,
Who must have brought it there.
He got it from Francois and Jacques,
Haha, Lucky Pierre!

Max got it from Edith,
Who gets it every spring.
She got it from her Daddy,
Who just gives her everything.

She then gave it to Daniel,
Whose spaniel has it now.
Our dentist even got it,
And we're still wondering how.

Ah, but I got it from Agnes,
Or maybe it was Sue,
Or Millie or Billie or Gillie or Willie,
It doesn't matter who.

It might have been at the club,
Or at the pub, or in the loo,
And if you will be my friend,
Then I might...(Mind you, I said "might")...
Give it to you!

Well I would say that it isn't the worst virus I've contended with this year but that wouldn't get me all the sympathy I desperately crave so I'll just imply I'm at deaths door with an overnight case and then pretend to pass out.

I'm a bit conflicted now. Get better no McLovely or stay sick and McLovely. Anyway I've been horizontal for almost an hour now so it's time to lie down. Maybe read a bit or just drift into an uneasy slumber.

It's very hard to get work done today.

The church (where I work) is having a big rummage sale Friday & Sat so people are constantly bringing things in and there are people pricing and setting up. And of course, stopping by the office to say hi. Or I have to go find someone in the gym for some reason and end up spending 10 minutes talking or browsing.

So far, I've acquired a wooden bicycle basket, a really cute bracelet (that someone put in my hands and said "You want this") and a coffee grinder that I think works, but looks cute none-the-less. Have to buy some whole bean and try it out.

This is a dangerous place to work this week! I've spent a whole $1 already!!!!

Sounds like you need to borrow a "Do Not Disturb" sign next time you're in a hotel, to hang on the office door. So you can get some work done.
I like those sort of sales. It's always fun to see what can be found.
