So, keep talking about food, i'm enjoying this, and then when we are ready, I shall open up the Worky Stuff room, and you can all get to posting those recipies.

And I, who cannot cook to save her life, shall contribut my fabulous recipies for beans on toast and a recipie for for Baozi that i got from a book on street cooking from around the world.

Yey!

Of course, it was because I've been quite ill all day, was up all night sick sick sick. But, whatever, I didn't have to go to work and I've spent most of the day laying in bed watching StarGate Atlantis. Which is growing on me, I think.

I'm sorry, but whenever I see an episode of Atlantis I keep expecting three sillohetes at the bottom of the screen to take the piss. choice choices.

My friend, who's only a year and a bit, got asked when she was thinking of having children by her doctor today. Now is apparently the right age.

Arrrrrrrrgggghhhhhh!

The crazy thing is, having children at 25/26 make sense, you can have the family life, then return to work at thirtyish, then by 35, you've got the whole thing - family and career.
more sense than aiming for the career then starting the family in your thirties or forties.

So, i'm thinking, i need only three things.

a home.

a man.

a course of hynosis to cure me of my fear of children.

Surely a man should be higher on the list? I'm obviously just working off of Secondary school sex education here but I'm sure a male was a greater requirement to procreation than a house.

I could of course be wrong, as there is, of course, a first time for everything. Who knows they can do anything with technology these days.

The alternative would be to cure your desire to ever have children. It's easy just focus on the bodily fluids emitted by the younger ones, constantly and in all directions, and then watch films where the adults say things like:
"Where are your parents?"
And the children reply:
"We've already played with our parents, now we want to play with you."

Personally I'm immune to such things, the pitfalls of having a child minder for a mother, I'm used to rug rats tearing around at fifty miles an hour with a foot long drop of snot dangling from their nose and a nappy that conceals unspeakable horrors. But hey they look cute.

That's alright, my house is on the way to the Isle of Wight for you. Hey if it gets really good it may take on a life of it's own and we'll all end up back at yours with no recollection of how we got there, those are the best parties, the ones where you wake up in different counties or preferably countries with no recollection of how or why.

Seriously though my Brothers having a party so the house is going to be filled with pre-twenties getting drunk. Last time that happened a bunch of stuff got broken and stolen. Including a big bottle of really nice Belgian beer I got as a leaving present that some troglodite stole then decided they didn't like it so smashed it on their way home. That and some of the girls who came last time were real class acts, I remember one of them staggering around the front room saying:
"I have respect, right, I have respect for you, I have respect for me, but you don't have respect for me..."

I told her to respect herself outta my house or my foot would respect her arse.

Oh my wonderfalls disc appearethed today, it's really weird, it's a three disc set in those slim line cases in a box the same size as a single disc set. You Yanks have weird DVD boxes, you know that?

I'm currently watching Wax Lion, I missed most of it at D*C, I think I was kind of spaced out. Here's a weird thing: The episodes seem to last a lot longer than 45 minutes, usually that means I'm not enjoying them ("why won't this damn thing just END!") but I'm actually liking Wonderfalls.

Oh Wax Lion just ended. How long is this post? I started watching Wax Lion after I started writing it, the post that is, not Wax Lion. I didn't write that. I think that's my cue to stop writing.

Oh one last thing:

I'm not doing that much partying. Frankly the thought of partying with teenagers isn't that great, they still think it's cool to get wasted on half a pint of shandy.

I'm a little beyond that now, it takes at least four pints of the strong stuff.

thats alright Sean, you had it easy, last time i had the misfortune to find myself at a party filled with pre twenties, two of them decided to try out crazy monkey sex in the hosts parents off limits en suit, and not onle broke a towel reail but managed to rip it completely off the wall, along with a lit of plaster and an expensive paqint job.

children!

My sister explained the bodily fluids thing, she said although it always makes your skin crawl, you'd rather clean it up than have your child in that state.

that list was in no particular order, if it were in order it would read

hypnotherapy

stable home

man.

it a case of man would be nice first, but they are unreliable at best. Home would put you in better stead.

As for the actually mechanics (trust you to think of sex) thats what donors are for.

Believe me, i've learned the lesson, if i wait around for a decent bloke to come along (in Liverpool!) it will all have dried up and fallen off before i can even think about kids.

Cept, this is all besides the point, as i'm still firmly entrenched in the 'children are despicable evil slimy little cretins' camp.

BTW, the appaling spelling is brought to you by a stonking headache and wierd wooziness. i ain't arsed about going and correcting it just at this moment. Sorry.
