Have you ever wonder if maybe there's more to life other than being really really rediculously good looking?

OK... Wow. I'm guessing all the boys in your class either get nothing done or are some of the most attentive students ever. There is no grey area here. I would have been absorbing your every word, but then I would fail on purpose so I could have you again next year. Then I'd just keep doin that until I was 18 and I could ask you out.

I haven't heard any Temple of the Dog stuff yet... are they good?

You've probably heard "Hunger Strike" and "Say Hello to Heaven" on the radio before. Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam sings lead on Hunger Strike, and you can hear Chris in the background singing "I'm goin' hungry" with those amazing pipes. It's got a kind of "Robin Hood" feeling to it. "Say Hello to Heaven" is all Chris and it is downright one of the best damn songs ever made. You'll have to tell me if you like it.

Temple of the Dog coincided with Soundgarden when Pearl Jam was just emerging. Fans of Pearl Jam that didn't know what TotD was all about were pretty outraged that Eddie Vedder took a back seat to Chris on the album, but TotD wasn't really a band. It was actually a tribute to Andy Wood from Mother Love Bone after he died of a heroin overdose. Eddie was brought on last minute for backup. Pretty emotional album. Great stuff...

Quote:

I'm not too keen on audioslave, bar 'Super Stupid' and 'Be Yourself,' I love those songs! True, true, Chris is a genius (did you know he's doing the new Bond theme?), but I bet you could give him a run for his money!
That 'noise devices' really made me laugh.

Give "I am the Highway" another try if you've already heard it and didn't think much of it. I like Soundgarden better too, but "I am the Highway" is great stuff... kinda speaks to my loner tendancies though so I can see how someone who doesn't relate to it may not appreciate it like I do. He's doing the bond theme? That's freakin awesome! That's like making the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame except you're part of an even smaller elite group that inclues such amazing talent as Tom Jones, Sheena Easton and.... A-Ha.

Maybe I'll post some of my music on MySpace soon and you can see how inferior to Chris I am, but I'm always getting better. I used to be a Karaokee whore for about 5 years, but I wanted to learn how to play something and do my own music. I'm hoping to join a band... me, my voice, and my noise device, before I'm 30.

wait! wait wait wait wait wait...

did you say up there that Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder both sang on the same album?

wow, why have i never heard that song! its a crim I tell you! ok, so, who's now happy she downloaded itunes?

Oxford Uni? I didn't realise they had one museum let alone four. Wow, so what sort of thing do they do? or do you manage to cover pretty much everything over four museums?

that capital of culture thing it a pile of go-se. the most cultural things about it are the heritage sites and the the music venues - music venues fine, but its a rare thing to have more than one decent band or night around in a week, and of the museums, two are being messed around with, one is closed and one won't even open till 2010. so...

but you could probably occupy yourself for about 3 days, but then you'd have to get out...

ok, add one day for Sefton if lounging around in huge parks is your idea of fun. I know its mine.

Mark, no way am i ever calling you master. Not even if you become The Doctors arch nemesis (one of them)

I call no man master.

but would Sir do?

Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder did sing on the Same album. The album is "Temple of the Dog" as is the band name. Vedder is more of a minor player on it but "Hunger Strike" is all Vedder with Chris doing backup. You've probably heard it on the radio before and thought it was an older Pearl Jam tune... a lot of people I know did. You've probably heard "Say Hello to Heaven" before too... that's one of my favorite songs.

I don't know Helen. I can be pretty persuasive.... but I suppose Sir would be sufficient for now.

we could need an entirely new thread on museums here! For fear of boring everyone with my workplace I'll keep it succinct...

Oxford Uni Museums ( www.ox.ac.uk/museums): Natural History (oldest in world - we have dinosaurs too!); Ashmolean (fine art and archaeology); Pitt Rivers (anthropology and world archaeology); History of Science (more a history of thinking!)

also: Bate (musical instruments), Botanic Garden and an Arboretum

Ah, I have heard of them, well the Ashmolean at least, we should do a cultural exchange, get the museums to pay for it. (har har - like they would jump at that idea!)
there a new Ben Stiller movie coming out - A Night in the MUseum, about all the dinosaur skeletons and other bits coming to life. looks like fun. I can just imagine all of our attentants in a situation like that - i've seen them when an earwig escaped - it got all of two yards, but they were still freaked.

ok, thats the last thing to be said on museums by me i promise. back to the subject in hand.

My, Mr T, how pretty you are. Sorry, that should be handsom shouldn't it? yikes, obviously not good at this.

I'm better being a pain in the rear, ain't I MrBatboySir?

you can kid yourself that one day you hear me say Master, if you need to, but I can tell you now, its a distinct impossibility.

This is getting really weird talking to you on fff and MySpace at the same time. I thought it was hard enough keeping up with one conversation with one person, or even two with two different people. But having 2 conversations with the same person at the same time is like some sort of paradox that could threaten to rip the fabric of the spacetime continuium.....

That being said, you so silly!

but you are actually right, i should be in work, and you should be making friends with the pretty girls up there, they really are very pretty, and i'm monopolising your attention span.

which really can't be that good anyway to be honest.

also monopolising space that should be used for photo's of new and pretty folks.

so i'm off to work!
