Maybe I quoted too much of your statements and my meaning got lost.

Mere words on a computer screen made you lose your temper...
Quote:

If you or anyone else feels threatened or uncomfortable because of words on your computer screen, then you're the one's who need tharapists, not me. And if you don't feel threatened, then why does it matter enough to respond to?

Why do you feel the need to respond to your detractors? Why give them that kind of power over you? I will be the first to say exercise your freedom of speech; I have a feeling that you may have actually earned that right, where many of us have only been handed that right by others. But freedom of speech is by constitutional definition a two-edged sword. People will disagree with each other. They will resort to shouting and name calling, and any other means that pop into their head up to the point of malice before it becomes illegal. "He started it!" is not a defense for engaging in tit for tat.

The manly thing to do in "society" is to walk away. The manly thing to do is realize that "I can take him" and then not do it. "I already know it and it won't teach him a damn thing." Using fists to win an argument, a shouting match or a name-calling session is not winning; it's the inability to win by Hoyle.

The manly thing to do in Warfare is quite different. You are encouraged to kill the enemy in warfare, you are prohibited from doing so to the populace at home. I'm afraid I'm going to go with FutureMrsFillion on this one, though. Friendly (Fists of) Fire isn't appropriate in our eyes. But we're not military. I won't pretend to know more than what I've heard from actual combatants or what I've seen on TV news or in the movies.

Is there whining from your comrades in arms? I expect from some. You would have me believe there are more than I estimate. Very well. I will not speak whereof I do not know. But of those whiners, how many looked death in the eye and yet did their duty? Courage is not having no fear, it is beating back fear to accomplish what you must. Surely some among you had courage, even by your definition.

Parting observation. Did you change your signature just for little ol' me? Kinda brings to mind the Firefly theme song to me...

Rupert kicks arse with 99.999% efficency. Paddington wears a duffle coat. Just remember what Rupert did did to those limp wristed singing frogs. Kicked their warty arses is what. I know who my moneys on.

Teddy Ruxton, obviously. That flying Galleon Airship thing was bad ass, big respect for any teddy bear that flys around in that.

Ok, so you may have a point about Winnie being Mickeys bitch, but i refuse to believe that - I think it was a ploy to get it on with Minnie - Winnie and Minnie, it was just destiny - so Micky, thinkin he was the tough guy, is left with horns and a drippy nose.

But you may be right about Yogi, he could outsmart them all, though i always thought that secretly it was all just an act, and he's just Boo Boo's stooge.

Okay, time to weigh in on the Bear issue. Pooh Rocks and Rules. I mean, a bear walks down the street with that name, people know he's not afraid of anything. Time was when Pooh could stand tall even under the Disney yoke. It's only recently that he finally caved into the Mass Market Mania.

Having noted that, as a child I was a full-fledged member of the Smokey the Bear fan club, badge, membership card and everything. I wouldn't be surprised if Nico was, too.

Finally, I think Rupert looks like Winnie's illegitimate son (maybe the Minnie scandal?):

theres is a resemblence, the bigger ears had to come from somewhere... naughty, naughty bears.

But you have to admit the Poohs credibility has gone down the pan since the sell out, and I think you'll agree that reputation is important to the tough guy bear community. And Czech gangsters.

Do you know what a reputation is?
It's people talking, gossip, it's
not... to hold, touch it, you
can't. Not from gossip. Now I
also have reputation, not so
pleasant, I think you know.

Now, for you, my reputation is not
from gossip. You see this man, he
does not do the job. I show you
what I do with him and now, my
reputation for you is fact, is...
solid. You do the train job for
me, then you are solid. No more
gossip. That is strong
relationship.

Pooh is Buddha to some of us; Confucius. He is the Michael Jackson of Disneyland. Once there was greatness. Now there is...reputation.

Hey if you've read the original stories by A.A. Milne that whole Hundred Acre woods crew was quite scary... When Kanga and Roo first came to the forest no on liked them and they hatched a master plan to kidnap Roo and substitute Piglet( so Kanga wouldn't realize until it was too late) and then hold Roo hostage to force them out of the woods...pretty scary:)
