Talk about delayed gratification. If I had known that cough was going to lay in remission for 10 - 12 weeks, I might not have bothered to bring it with me all the way to England.

The upside is that it should stay with you for at least two weeks, which greatly enhances the possibility of busting a rib. And wouldn't that be fun?

What a silly thing to be doing, breaking hands on bare tiles. My understanding is that in between coughing fits, other humans have cleverly contrived things like axes and heavy hammers and suchlike.

Those things cost money, break tiles by hand is a usefull life skill.

Stress is something that forces civilized humans to do some odd things. Thousands of years ago if some one did something that irratated you the answer was simple, kill them or give them the opportunity to understand that their behavior was endangering thier life and the problem went away. Now days that is considered uncivilized so we come up with all sort of "crazy" ways of dealing with stress. In my humble opinion it all boils down to a simple question: "are you a murderer?" If no then you are probably not too far gone. The U.S. has this problem with its guns, because at least twice a year someone just snaps and starts shooting people, often at random. We incarcerate more of our populance than any other country aside from China, if I have my facts right. Now that is crazy, but what can we do, we are raised in a culture that glorifies violence.

Oh look at me, I've done gone and ranted. So where did I lose my point and get on my tangent? Oh yes, stress, Seryn you aren't crazy. You are just frustrated because you need a better job that doesn't force you to deal with so much of the public. Take a day and apply for a job at a theater or film studio are a costume misstress. That's where you talents lie. I understand that the a aquarium allows you to be close to so many animals that have absolutely no stress, but it forces you to deal with so many animals who cause you stress.

Seryn you are a good person and you have character, that keeps from being a boring clone. Don't change yourself, change your environment.

yes, i suppose they wern't great people. but the corpses just seem to be magnetically attracted to the museum.

One workmate reckons its the new mummy we got a while back (supposedly shorts the electrics and caused accidents whenever someone touches it)
Citizen suggested the museum was built on an indian burial ground, but i'm not sure we ever had native americans in this country, so thats an excellent theory kiboshed.
I reckon liverpool, like sunnydale is built on a hellmouth, but this ones a lot sneakier - instead of sending out uber-vamps to scare us, it sends chavs.

Not native Americans, Indians, from India. Rising from the dead to take revenge on Curry guzzeling Northern Monkies . Besides they could have relocated, or maybe they moved the ancient burial ground corpse by corpse. I imagine that would piss the restless spirits off even more.

That's pure evil, even the master didn't send out Chavs, even the first great evil would not dare to manifest as a burberry wearing blinged up simpleton.

There's so needs to be a spoof of Zombie films called "Night of the Burberry Chav". I've just got the Abridged Version of the Zombie Survival Guide with a magazine I subscribe to (which definatly isn't a computer game rag packed full of adolecent humor *shifty eyes*) which was really unfortunate since now I'm going to have to buy the full version.

Speaking of which there really needs to be a decent Zombie game, the They Hunger mods for Half-Life were good, but were just FPS, so didn't really capture the Zombie thing, there's an updated one for Half Life2 in the works ( http://www.blackwidowgames.com/ ) which looks pretty good. I think some sort of GTA style game, but with Zombies, would be a winner.

Where was I? Oh yeah, do Chavs eat curried brains in Liverpool? If they do you know mystical Indians are at work in the Museum.

so A. B, C or all of the above?

I don't know about any chavs eating brains - they seem strangly resistant to anything involving brains, which is why i've never held much stock in the chav/zombie plague theory.

But they do have some fairly noxious culinary habits, and the table manners of a mostly rotted dead body (or would, if any of them knew how to eat at a table other than the booths in 'maccies')So your theory has some weight to it....

As for the (Asian) Indian burial ground idea, we have had a large aisian population for a long time - but i'm fairly sure that Asians tend to cremate their dead.

May be wrong, but i'm sure i got told that.

But the mummy theory has weight to, plus we have hundreds of articles that were never intended to be seen, let alone be put on display thousands of miles away from their scared hut or wherever.

so between them all, i'm astonished we've got away with only two suicides and a murder in the building - woulda thought we'd be knee deep in em.

(btw, i really do apologise for the outburst last night, i had a good cry and i'm feeling much better - yey me)

I think I missed the outburst, was that what you edited? I'd say something comforting, but I'm not very good at it, does there there in a manly tone and offering Tea suffice?

I did actually see what looks like a good Zombie game for the XBox today, nearly bought it, so nearly, takes place in a Mall, just you and thousands of Zombies (so like any typical Saturday really) but you can use any household (surely Mallhold?) item to bludgeon cut shoot or skewer. I actually like that idea, specially since it mentioned run over and lawnmowers in more or less the same sentence, ride on mower fun.

Now if running over and cutting up Zombies with gardening tools doesn't get your mind off your problems, I don't know what will.

Shame you can't really mod for the Xbox, then you could have all the Zombies wearing Burberry.

i think my brother played that one - it was fun to watch if nothing else, i'm not sure about dressing up the zombies, but you could dress the guy you controlled in any thing - suits, sports kits, even kids clothes and bikini's. My brother did an entire mission with him in a dress just for me.
But yes, there were alsorts of objects just lying around waiting to be used to dispatch zombies in new and unusual ways.
I'll ask him about it - he may even still have it, you can swap or something.

Yes, manly there theres and offers of tea will do thank you, but honestly i'm ok, i had a rant, had a whinge, then scrubbed it all out and now i feel good.

It's not a great game, but I really enjoyed Army Of Darkness: Fist Full Of Boomstick..... which somehow suddenly sounds naughty. But it's fun. Shotguns, chainsaws, dynamite, spells, all great ways to pop some Deadites.

i knew that boomstick mean gun! i didn't totally cheat in my geek entrance exam. Very very very funny movies, i loves them, and Bruce needs to work more, but maybe not with Sam Raimi - after reading how Sam regularly tried (and succeeded) to torture and maim Bruce with movies, then maybe its not a good idea.

Of course, this was Bruces autobiography, so he may just be making it up...

I still need adresses from people - though i have a confession to make - i got bits for people to send instead of the presents i found, mainly cause most of they were highly breakable, and don't want to send them through british mail.

So D*C is going to double up as a very late mini christmas, in the meantime, treats in the post.

Chewy gooies are my family secret recipe cookie thingies. They are chewy and gooey and oh so delicious, but I shan't give you the recipe, so don't ask.
