IMPORTANT NOTE!
This thread is BROKEN! No posts can be read after a certain point! DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD!

Old thread was getting a bit long (and my computer was running especially slow, I think), so I thought we could use another picture thread. Let's put some more faces with the screen names!

Sakura does indeed translate to Cherry Blossom, or Cherry Tree, a sort of national symbol for the Japanese. Appropriately chosen for the dog, since the Shiba Inu is a Japanese breed, as are any dogs with the word "Inu" at the end (Which means "Dog" in Japanese).

Yeah, I know, pointless display of trivial knowledge. But I never get to rant about Japan anymore.

Not at all pointless. Shina Inu's are a smaller version of the Akita, a masterful, fiercely loyal (to the family), potentially deadly (to the outsider) guard dog. I am guessing that houses with paper walls need some form of canine protection. Wonderful pet for the family, will NEVER take to strangers. Have a first degree of separation story or horror toward that end.

EDIT: I am getting an impression here of what it takes to father a Browncoat, and I'm really not sure what to make of it...but I think John may have a leg up on it, Roxy.

Whee, more pictures!

Magda, yep...I see where you get it from!

VE, I agree with Magda...it's good to be seeing you on here!

ShinyTrinket, I envy everyone that went to that Con-that-wasn't! All of the pictures show that everyone had a lot of fun!

Roxy, the photo of your dad is a classic! Hehe!
And it looks like you are about to belt out the chorus to a Zeppelin song in that last one...
Pretty, pretty Roxy! *sigh*

Ooh, A shiba inu! I wanted one of those...but then again, I still want Akitas...

MSG, I agree. We need a lot more photos of you. Especially in some of those outfits you wear to school that cause so many problems!

Hi, there, Shannara! Don't think I have had the pleasure of talking to you before.

And now for a picture. The only thing I have been doing lately is costuming for the 76th, so that's all I have!

The "uniform" in progress. I'm hoping to have some different photos sometime soon...

Most fff folks use photobucket.com to host pics. Their archives are tremendous, too.

Upload your pic to a newly created 'bucket account, then copy the URL line underneath the picture and paste it into your post.

I love that picture! I have one picture, also in my mid-childhood, that I consider the best picture ever taken of me. I'm sure most people aren't nearly as interested in photos of the past as I am, but it might be a fun thread: the be all and end all, the single best picture ever taken of you. I even know which one my mom would say was the best of her. (She's also a browncoat, although suffering from a powerful aversion to the web)

Sadly I will have to wait until I'm home to post it, but here is ME with my cat and my now-deceased dog. He was the cutest dog ever.
