Hell's Kitten...wow. I am now impressed. Not only do you collect fine costume pieces, you have constructed one, too!

The cloak does look really good...especially wrapped around you. (sorry, had to say that)
Thank you for the kudos...though I am not sure you would still consider it "mad skills" if you actually saw the process. Lots of cutting, recutting, seam-ripping, cursing, drinking (lots of that sometimes), lamenting, and finally the whole "F

k this, I'm going to bed!" Every now and then, something good comes from it...and I thank you for the compliment on the 76th uniform. As for the dirt...not yet. We are set up as a "newly-formed" Battalion at the start of the hostilities...back when they were still clean.

Hey! I thought you were going to join us?!? What happened with that?

To you both: what makes a great photographer (extend that to seemster as well) is not the ability to frame the shot while taking it; but taking a ton of shots, picking the right one and cropping it to the best result. I'm pretty sure that's an incredibly bad paraphrase of Ansel Adams. Or not.

How do you know what House you belong to, or rather with. Is there a Hogwart's test in RL, a talking hat as it were, that you put on? I'd be interested to know where my lodgings would be...also not a "fan" but am entertained by it all nonetheless.

That's a very good bad paraphrasing of Adams, JQ. I've heard some hardcore PhoTogs, though, who believe that even cropping the photo is Wrong and renders you Not A Real Photographer. Me? I just takes pictures I likes. Sometimes they turn out okay.

JQ, thank you for that. I never looked at it that way...but I like the way it sounds!

As for Hell's Kitten...yeah, I love her for her threads and the way she presents them to us. Alright, the fact that she is beautiful is part of it, but really, she is a phenomenal "artist" even if she does not think so. Take the sunshine shot...she summed it up perfectly:

A photo like that is something I would love to have hanging on my wall. Light being the focal point, but also partially revealing a body...gently touching the ear and cheek of the subject, outlining shoulder and hip, playing in the wisps of hair...so yes, 'tis art that I can appreciate, and that she obviously enjoys doing.

 As for Hell's Kitten...yeah, I love her for her threads and the way she presents them to us. Alright, the fact that she is beautiful is part of it, but really, she is a phenomenal "artist" even if she does not think so. Take the sunshine shot...she summed it up perfectly:

Light being the focal point, but also partially revealing a body...gently touching the ear and cheek of the subject, outlining shoulder and hip, playing in the wisps of hair...so yes, 'tis art that I can appreciate, and that she obviously enjoys doing.
