SIGMANUNKI


The first thread of 2007!

I pledge that this week is my "detox" week. I didn't do any exercise today, but I also didn't eat anything that I shouldn't have. So, I count this as a plus.

Anyone else gonna join if only to get those pounds off that we all got during the holidays?

I was out of town for a week. Didn't do my regular workouts. Did a little stretching and yoga everyday and started walking. Managed to loose 2 lbs - think it was all the running up and down the stairs at my bro's house. Who'd a thunk it?

Today - did 1 1/2 hrs of yoga in am and a 2 mile walk in the afternoon. Plan to start walking more.

Wow, where did everyone go? Thought there would be more joining due to new years resolutions and such. Perhaps people are still on vacation? Or still getting used to getting back to the grid?


Anyway, I've cheated a bit with my detox with some of those Arrowroot biscuits. But, still far better than before.

Looked into the rebounder, but the ceiling where I live is rather low for bouncing. At least for my comfort level. I found a cardio workout tape thing, that I tried today (still a little bit shaky). Tomorrow I think there'll be some soreness.

Aside from that, there's been a couple walk abouts.

EDIT: Just got in a 1/2hr walk about.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.


Let's see... Tuesday, I did five minutes on this wicked hard stepping machine, then ten or so minutes on this old whirring bike machine, then some basic weight stuff for my biceps, triceps, and shoulders.

Yesterday, I did 20 minutes of biking, and then wanted to take a nap.

Well I've been slacking a bit. Did 30 min yoga this morning. Have been nursing my cold. Plan to get back to more intense working out starting tomorrow.

I had a problem when I was living in an upstairs apartment and couldn't use my pilates reformer due to vibrations. Loaned it to my daughter - maybe I'll get it back from her and start using it again. Space is limited for me, too. I'm in a house but it's smallish. I find I need to switch my routines around (including DVD's) from time to time or I don't continue to get good results.

Did extreme fitness class this morning for an hour. Going to do some yoga and weights this evening. Plan to start walking tomorrow.

Got up and did an hour kickboxing class this morning - then went to lunch with the class - didn't totally pig-out but ...
