I haven't been feeling very well over the past couple days. So, today it was just some house work.

Hey guys, anyone mind if I join in the fun?? I ain't been very good recently, so I've decided to start taking care of myself again. I'm starting with low reps and low weights, cuz I'm so damn injury prone Weights count in this thing, right?? Anyhoo, Monday 26th Feb:

1 hour walking
Squats - 30 reps of 50lbs (3x10)
Calf raises - 40 reps with a 50lbs barbell (2x20)
Sit-ups (regular) - 60 sit-ups (3x20)
Sit-ups (accross body) - 20 sit-ups (2x10)

Welcome

I think that the rule is, if it promotes a healthier life-style including but not limited to, exercise of any kind, its all good. And everything you've listed does just that

Hope to see you posting here regularly

I actually did end up going out and about today giving me a 30-45 min walk about. The grocery store actually had good veggies!!! So, I get to actually eat quite healthy for a few days Hopefully, next time I show up at this grocer, it'll be the same (*knocks on wood* as this grocery store sucks). Hopefully, it'd do me good and get me to 100% again (*knocks on wood*).

Welcome Gladiator32. Sounds like a pretty good workout. Watch out for those injuries!

Yoga in am Combat Conditioning Class this evening - then went to a forum on Eating Disorders - and missed dinner. Couldn't wait to get home and heat up some soup!

Yoga in the am. Pilates class this evening.

Then I must confess I had a belated birthday dinner with a friend at a very bad Chinese buffet - keep trying things hoping something would taste good w/o success.

SASSALICIOUS

Decided to walk 2.5 miles home from work today and spent a good portion of it dodging ginormous slush puddles.

I have rediscovered my love of salads and have been eating them all the time.

Wisconsin sucks. I don't want to be here.

Was too tired to post 'progress' earlier:
Tuesday -
2 hours of Tai Chi practice (24 step and 'reverse'). Some Hsing-I. Lots of stretching. Some Arnis (while I did stay for several hours, it was as timekeeper for matches). 30+ minutes of walking for commute.

Yesterday (or earlier today, Wed.) - Some walking and stretching.

Was going to be doing weights focusing on shoulder and arms today, but I really ain't in the mood for all that (got a new job today), so I'll instead relax and celebrate with a whiskey or two. Feel free to slap my wrists

Oh, did do my usual 1 hour walk at lunchtime at work today.

Not much today, either.
Did some abs stuff (some situps, leg raises, bicycle thingy) before going to 'work'.
Some brisk walking.

Got a new receiver for the tv yesterday, so I decided that it was a prefect opportunity to fix the wire mess behind it. Needless to say, it involved a couple hours of moving things around, etc (including trouble shooting, which isn't completely trouble free yet). Got somewhat sweaty, so I'm counting it.

Today was a 30+ min walkabout.

Not much today, too.
I guess this is pretty much a 'rest week'.
Some brisk walking, some ab work, stretching and pushups.
A fair amount of eating (practically 4 meals, one of them at a chinese resto...)...baaaaaad.

Seated Individual Bicep Curls - 40 reps (20 per arm) with a 20lbs dumbell (4x10)
Tricep Dips - 20 dips (2x10)

About 1 1/2 hr walking today. Well, not exactly walk per se. More like, the snow is melting and I have to be almost acrobatic to walk the side walks. So, more than just the normal walking exercise.

Was supposed to rest today, but...

Some abs work (situps, leg raise stuff), a fair amount of stretching, some arnis drills (cruzada stuff, basic strikes and triangle), suburi w/ bokken (100 strikes for each target area: men, kote, and do, then some haya suburi), two sets of 24 step Tai Chi (one 'normal', one 'reverse').

Hopefully I can play airsoft tomorrow...

It's also known as escrima or kali.
It's filipino stick fighting, basically (though blades are also used, such as a combination of swords and/or daggers ...the terms used in the art are in spanish).
Its a nice, practical art which, unlike most martial arts with weapons, starts you off with weapons before moving on to unarmed training (mano-mano, I think...kicking is called sikaran, I think. I forget).

(edit)Today:
Got to play airsoft (for those unfamiliar: its wargames using electric 'guns' that shoot 'bb pellets') for several hours with a friend. Weather was moderately hot (good thing cloud cover is, though I was wearing a parka and helmet for protection).
Also did some walking with a 15 lbs. or so pack (to get to the game site).
The game site was nice, mostly 'urban' terrain. Give or take a hundred people were in attendance. Since my 'gun' was in the shop, I was lent a modified Tokyo Marui Thompson. Got 7-8 'kills' in 4 games (6 of which were in one game...c'mon, lining up against a wall and not securing the area opposite said wall? ).
