YINYANG

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

Okay, now that I know how to work this new computer, it's show and tell time! When I upload them all (and make sure they're not too big), I'll show you some stuff near Lyons, Colorado (mostly pictures of a tree my dad and I hiked up to, sans either of us).

Be right back, all you lovely peoples new and old!

Edit: Okay, so that didn't take as long as I thought it would.

We went to this cabin/motel place for a couple days of Spring Break (and came back to a broken computer, otherwise I would have posted these sooner). That Tuesday, we went on a hike. I'm not really sure how far up we went in any sort of measurement (I think we were gone a couple of hours), but here's the series that shows the relative distance of the tree (which is circled in blue).

This first one is on the ground (notice the roof in the lower right):

And, the next one (which is a lot closer):

And, the next one (almost there):

And, the last one (I cropped myself out, but I was sitting forward of the lower left corner):

Then, that night, my dad built a giant fire. He took this picture (or maybe my mom did) just when it all fell, and it turned out cool:

And a sign we saw in one of the town's parks:

A picture of the view we had when we had hiked up a little ways:

I love odd signs like this. I mean, they do serve a purpose; it's just nice to see a different kind of sign every now and then. Reminds me of one I saw from Japan. Had a picture of a guy accosting a bear, and what I can only assume said "Do not engage the bears in fisticuffs. They are very good fighters, and will box your ears clean off."

I like to let my mind out and play with those...

I just thought I'd mention, for all you people with no subject but yourselves (and hey, more pictures of yourselves is more then shiny). All you gotta do is get your sweet asses on a plane to Scotland and you'll have a plenty willing subject, hell I'll even bus up to the airport and save you some time

Hello all you happy people. I don't post enough in here. I'm usually too busy being the voice of reason in RWED (Waiting to get a virtual kick in the head for that one). Ya'all are great, and I really enjoy my time here, even when I'm pulling out my hair and deeply entrenched in a pointless battle of politics.

I really can be quite charming and charismatic when politics don't come up. I swear.

PR - Nice certs. Hope you're finding a way to make all that talent lucrative. Be a cryin' shame if you don't.

LittleAlbatross - Nice to put a face with the name. Strut your stuff girl.

JohnnyQuest - Glad to give ya a laugh. In all seriousness though, I was completely serious, in a joking sort of way. Sexy proles in nighties everywhere you look.... yumm

Roxy - Roxy, Roxy, Roxy..... you're breakin' my heart girl. What can be said that I haven't babbled about already?

Magda - How you doin'? Is that you're daughter? Real cute pics of you both there. You always look so happy. Thanks for the MySpace message.

Overobsessed - You are ever so welcome senorita. I plan on being around here for a few more years anyways. Look me up sometime when you don't have that problem.

Tristan - Seems you and Major broham got a real good thing going there Colonel. Big fan of those leather shot-glasses you got your hands on. I'm green with envy. If I do decide to make that trip out to DCon with him, I'm looking forward to having a drink with ya.

Orpheus - Don't sweat the guitar man. Anything that can carry a tune is good stuff till you can get something better. My electric is a similar looking Fender made in China. It's a piece go se. If I played it much I'd be itching to get something better, but I'm more an accoustic man myself. Got me my Uncle's '77 Guild. She's my baby. I call her Jess.

Gladiator - That's a pretty sweet looking guitar man. Since we're doing shirtless guitar pics here I'll throw mine out here for lack of any new pics at the moment.

Forgive the lack of muscles ladies. I forgot to eat my spinach before I took that pic.

.... sigh.... I miss my muscles. Back to the gym with me.

And last but not least.... Kaneman - Good to see you around again man. I think I speak for all of us that you can be a huge pain in the ass, but I have to admit that I'm really enjoying your return in the RWED. Gives us something to not be so serious about in there. I always enjoy the replies to your posts there too. As one of the self-proclaimed most hated people in there (they love to hate me... Kinda like Howard Stern), it's nice to see that hostility cannon they got pointed in another direction once and a while.

And to anybody I missed... sry bout that. Either we ain't talked much or your new and I had nothing to say. If we have and I didn't, my bad.... feel free to yell at me. Nice to see some new faces around here.

BTW.... Where's new pics of HK. I needs my fix.

Heya, Jack! Lucrative? Nah, not at this point. I ain't certified or anything. They want you to be certified. And know more than one program. Quark and Adobe Illustrator and those kinds of things. All's I got is PhotoShop. Seriously considering some web design/graphics/IT schooling, though.

How do, LA29? A shinier t-shirt, there is not.

Causal, with all those guns, you look kinda like my last boss. Happy-go-luck adult who just loved guns and shooting rubber bands at teenagers. "I will crush you!" *THWAP!*

Well, no bears down here but if there were we floridians prefer to kill any form of wildlife that has even a remote possibility of harming us through the almost total destruction of their habit via completely unhindered expansion of suburban sprawl. See:

Its worth noting however that there is no recorded instance of these animals having ever attacked a human. Not to rain on the parade or anything...

Sorry you guys, my internet's been down so I lost track of all the fun. My girlfriend had emergency surgery on Thursday the 22nd for two very mean ovarian cysts the size of grapefruits. (She named them after the two towers in The Lord of the Rings...she's an English Major...you can tell). The procedure went well but the bad news is that they also found that she has a severe case of endometriosis. Not good. But I stayed by her side all day and all night.

But I'm back.

So instead of putting up a picture of myself, here is a picture of the flowers I bought her.

I understand the pain and the surgery. Hehe, that's really funny cause I named my cysts too! Now I don't feel so strange. Sending happy healing thoughts her way! Very beautiful flowers, btw! You are a good boyfriend.

(She named them after the two towers in The Lord of the Rings...she's an English Major...you can tell). The procedure went well but the bad news is that they also found that she has a severe case of endometriosis. Not good. But I stayed by her side all day and all night.

Awwwww, you are so sweet! What a good boyfriend! We can certainly, easily forgive your absence for that.

Roxy, you are the cutest soldier girl ever!

Okay. Here's the thing with my new picture. Long and long ago there was a slight debate about the color pink in the bar and grill thread. Me, I don't like pink. It looks good on me, but I do not like it. Jimi asked if I could prove that I did, in fact, look good in pink. I haven't owned anything pink for many years, so naturally I couldn't.

Well, my dad went to Portland, OR last week. Apparently it is known as "The Rose City" which was news to me, but pretty damn cool. So he bought me a mug that said "City of Roses" on it. Also he bought me a Portland State shirt.

Why he thought this would make a good present, I have no idea. He seemed to think that, living in a college town, I would think it was neat to wear a shirt from out of state. Or something. Also, as you can see, it is pink. *sigh* I guess he still sees me as the little girl who liked foof and sparkles and pink, fluffy bunnies. The fact that he can recognize the fact that I'm college age at the same time kind of makes my head spin.

I'm gonna look for something blue and runny to wash this thing with. Maybe I can turn it purple.

Also, I've been meaning to ask: who said that quote? That's great!

Why thank you. May just have to start smiling more.

Thank ya Rose! You definitely look great in pink! I'm with Causal, keep it pink. Though I, for one, am looking at the actual shirt. I also love the look on your face! It's kinda a "Are you kidding me" look.

You know, it will remain tight if its color changes
However, if the color does not change, said tightness will not grace my form ever again.
Care to change your vote?

Oh, and I'll get your certificate made when I get home from work

Woot! Facial expression success! That is exactly what I was going for because, as I said, I don't wear ruttin pink!
Hence why it has to be dyed somehow. Or tossed out. Just because it's flattering doesn't make it my color ( )

Damn....I am sorry to hear that! You don't know me, she doesn't know me, but my thoughts are with her. If you need to talk or rant or need a break I...and all of us...are here for you.

Hobbleit! Hi again! Don't know if I said it before, but you have an interesting-looknig room!

Roxy...heh...ok, you on the battlefield would be a good and bad thing...the enemy would be stunned by your beauty which would make them easier to capture...but, our side would also be very distracted...
Damn. It never fails that you just knock me the hell out.
Gorgeous smile, too.

PR, you may not like pink, but it does look good on you! The expression is priceless, by the way.

CunningOrangeToque, good to see you! And heh...yeah, I can see the resemblance!

Okay, it's been slow, I know it's Sunday and that's to be expected, and I know we're not over 100 posts yet, but we're close and I had a new thread name and didn't want to lose it. So... new thread! http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=27773
