Well, I'm back from my most awesome of concerts. I had such a great time! What an kickass time! Well, apart from getting hit in the face by a slightly over exasperated mosher. Kinda hurt, but it's a badge of honor I guess, lol...

Don't worry Roxy I was keeping a close eye on this place (and your nekkidness) for ya!

I just gotta say Ow!

You want I should go find this guy and give you a reason to hide evidence for me? Along the way I could pick up a wrecking crew to give me a hand (hint, hint RIMG, Steamer, NVG and anyone else between Michigan then Nevada then Ga, and Finally NY). Then afterwards we could have one heck of a Shindig!

Take care all!

Oh and its too late for the Veto Mags! Sorry you gotta have firsties to place any rules in the thread!

As a veteran of the mosh pit (and not the punk-y circle-dance stuff, but proper thrash/death/battle metal moshes), all I can say is that these things happen. I don't know what the audience was like at the concert you went to, Roxy, as I'm unfamiliar with their music. What I can say is that at some of the ones I've been to, you enter the mosh pit at your own risk, especially when most of the audience is bedecked in spiky stuf (and I'm not talking about mohawks, although a well-aimed hair-spike can put an eye out). Cracked ribs, cheekbones, split lips, black eyes, broken noses..... All sorts of injuries occur from flailing feet and waving arms, and that's just from the crowdsurfing. It's when the drunks get up front with the various props that it gets really dangerous (imitation weaponry can very be nasty, especially when wielded by drunken amateurs).

Anyway, hope the injuries heal quickly.

PheonixRose, concerning that older sister pic...well, I can't stop the truth. What (s)he is wearing is actually the uniform from kindergarten. Stupid Back to School parties. I got off lucky. I just wore my high school uniform (the one I didn't burn), and my final year personalised jacket. So I didn't look like more of a goose than normal.

1. edit- might have something to do with time differences and such..
2. edit- Thanks. Only have digital camera on my phone- hence the tiny pictures.. You'll have bad luck indeed if you meet a Norwegian under the age of 55/60 who cant communicate in English. One of the subjects at school everybody finds useful I guess.. Edit: and we use subtitles instead of dubbing things... only childrens movies and programmes get dubbed in norwegian.. might have something to do with it.. dunno..

(And lovely Norwegian) (And Causal ) (And Khyron; don't know where you're from) I need a shower before I can take any new pics that could be considered decent (in any respect) so y'all have to wait a bit for anything new. That explains it! For us (at my university anyone) a undergrad paper is just called an essay--or at most, a term paper. For us, "dissertation" means that huge 90-page thing that doctoral candidates have to write.

I tried with the amazing raspberries, too, but they're too small to show up well in pictures; it just looked like my hand in front of my face most of the time.

Woman, you are completely off your nut.

1st off thanks everyone for your well wishing and talk of mob-starting over my busted face! Oh and just to let y'all know, I wasn't actually moshing (I'm 5'1", I'd get squish-ed!). We were just on the edge of the pit and some guy was smashed into really hard and his elbow swung back and hit me in the face real hard. I'm healing up ok now, just prolly won't take pics for a bit, lol!

Dang, I missed a lot of shiny pics! Y'all look so very purdy. I love coming to this thread!

Well, here are the pics from the concert, as promised! They aren't really very good cause of all the moving 'round and I wasn't super close to the stage.

The 1st 2 are pics from Breaking Benjamin's set (I *heart* Ben Burnley! *sigh*), the 3rd is the lead guitarist from Three Days Grace, and the last is I think the lead guitarist, from Red. I was too far away to take pics when Puddle of Mudd was playing.

This pic I took of Jon and I at some calm point during the concert.

PHOENIXROSE

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I'm trying to get a shot of my shiny purple leopard print skirt, but the camera will not coorperate with me

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

*Sigh* Cute as always Roxy!

Judging by the damage from the pic you posted it is no wonder you have a black eye. I am surprised it took this long to surface. That cheak of yours had some pretty good damage.

Heal up soon!

Guys (echoing what Nico said a bit), Roxy got hurt by a mosher at a hard rock concert. While it sucks that she got hurt, it's not like he did it on purpose. Let's just have the shindig instead. :) (imatition weaponry, Nico? I have been to shows where they had lead pipes and chains in the pit)

BlackBeanie, good to "see" you. Is your hair a reddish color?

Uh, wow. That makes me not miss my city with a higher population than your country (Atlanta) quite so much.

Mavs - thanks for postin' that pic of me *hugs*
