I borrowed it off a mate and i have to say it has got to be the best script/dialouge i have ever had the pleasure to listen to.

I reccomend it to everyone!

It was definitely a good movie.

Loved the movie but the graphic novel series by Alan Moore is much better. You should really check it out. You can get the trade paperback pretty cheaply on Ebay.

Human beings are not meant to live in a police state. I have only one degree of separation from a person who was in a concentration camp so I took the story personally. Don't trust the government to work in your best interests, you have to make them accountable for everything, else they can and very possibly will, rob you blind, have you thrown in a prison and tortured.

Excellent post SR. Too many kids today aren't taught this by their schools or their parents. I know I wasn't. Didn't open my mind until I was in my early 20's.

Truthfully, as V is one of my all time favorite movies, I was in awe the entire time that a movie like that was even greenlighted. I'd expect a movie with a plot like that to possibly be made in an indie format that only a few thousand people would ever see, but it blew me away that so much went into it and it was a blockbuster hit. Only other movie that's ever made me misty eyed at the end was Equilibrium.

The film for V was very good (minus the compulsory english stereotyping)but the graphic novel is soo much better. The movie failed to grasp the philosophical side of the story, the 'one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter' element and the idea that what V was fighting for was a society based on the principle of true anarchy, where people do the right thing because they all choose to rather than because there is a law which forces them to.
If you have seen the film and liked it then i would definately recomend that you read the graphic novel. It will add a whole new level of depth to the characters and when you go back and watch the film again you will appreciate it all the more (even though it does differ hugely from the graphic novel in several places).

quite right, Mrbluesun- i read the novel after, and it does really go into things in much more detail.
and yeah, if you liked V, check out Equalibrium- you'll not be dissapointed.

watched the film many times, read both the graphic novel and the novel based on the movie and loved them all. the changes that were made from the graphic novel to the movie were cosmetic and did not take away from the point of the movie

Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"
