They wouldn't get the 1984 references. I'm convinced that most of the people here don't know their alphabet, let alone how to read. I did find out that the tardy rule doesn't offically take effect until the 1st. It's a good thing too, this whole being on time thing is a bit too much for me to handle. Also, I clocked in this morning late, not because I was't here, but because there was a herd trying to all clock in before the "late bell."

I suspect we just have too many threads here on fff.net, the the problems here is just the dam breaking. And I don't believe the VFF had much to do with that. Look at how many new thread's we've put up- http://www.fireflyfans.net/threadlist.asp?b=21 and the threads in the Talk Story forum, where most of the hidey threads are located (at least this one is)- http://www.fireflyfans.net/threadlist.asp?b=11

Look at those and tell me that the VFF project is causing the overload.

Sorry, I just get really annoyed when people assume that our harmless role-playing is causing the site to do down, when we aren't doing anything other than post on threads, same as you all, and in fact you've created way more threads than we have.

VFF as you note hasn't caused a noticeable strain on the server. At least I haven't noticed any great performance hit that seems attributable to the VFF threads.

I once sat down and talked with an old Chinese monk. He told me a lot about life and told me of his troubles. It seems that he had brittle bone disease so he would rarely leave the temple. He would often meditate for days on end. When he was feeling well, he would work in the garden. He toiled so hard that he developed calluses on his fingers. With the odd diet that he adhered to, he seemed to often have bad breath.
I guess he was a super fragile callused mystic hexed with halitosis.
