The cast and crew of 'Browncoats: Redemption' will be empaneled at Dragon*Con as follows:

When: Sunday, September 6th at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Marriott L401-403

What: During this panel we get to know more about the exciting upcoming Firefly Fan film Browncoats: Redemption and participate in a Q & A with the creators and producers.

Who: Mike Dougherty, Stephen Fisher, Brian Wiser, Heather Fagan, and more!

Come on down, stop on by, get some more 'verse, and don't forget to be at the Sheraton Shindig on Saturday night to view the trailer! (Right decent of Mike & Co. to hold the panel late the next morning after we've all slept off said Shindig.

)

Additionally, one of my crew has amassed an impressive collection of screen-used props and decorations from Firefly and Serenity. 76ers may know him as Pvt. Bronson. He and his girlfriend are attending and will be using his paraphernalia to re-create Inara's shuttle as closely as possible, and let me tell you right now, they've an excellent shot at it. His current lodging is in the Sheraton, but he tells me he's working on moving into the Marriott. In either case, I think we won't find a better-decorated venue for nightly room Shindigs in all of Atlanta! So keep it in mind if anyone's still in an after-partying mood following Friday-night karaoke and Saturday-night Shindiggin'.

We'll all have to meet up at some time Steamer. We were elected to host the Thursday night party. Kinda of a "bring your own grub" set up, we'll have some snacks, talky people, and drinks of course. If they end up at the Marriott it'll sure make it easier for MSA to attend.

Well, you guys are definitely in luck, 'coz Bronson & co. have indeed made it into the Marriott. Might take him a little while to set up all his memorabilia anyway, so that should work.

And PJ Haarsma, one of the founders of KidsNeedtoRead will be at the Browncoats:Redemption panel too. He did a cameo appearance in the film.

KNTR will also have a fan table. Not too sure where it'll be yet, but come on by, chat and give us your support.

Also, anybody coming to the karaoke bar with Rose and me on Friday night? It's about a block or so from the Hyatt and 'round the corner. I had hours of fun with some of the Star Wars gang last year.

Now, on to more Redeeming business:

These postcards will be available for the snagging hither and yon at Dragon*Con. (Hey, that rhymed.) The back will display information about the charities involved in the project as well as the date/time for the panel. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to see if I can score me a few dozen of these to distribute around New England and the more local cons. Anybody else got similar appetites? I don't know how many postcards are being made, so if we can get a pre-production count, maybe I can drop a bug in somebody's ear....

I think we hit that place on Friday night last year after the futile search for the Dr. Horrible screening. If'n MSA is feeling up to it we might give it a shot.

Slightly off topic but speaking of shindigs - I notice that the "I'll be in my bunk" panel clashes with the last hour of the big Shindig on Saturday...

I'm definitely going to both of those things but I hope that the Bunk panel isn't too empty... going up against the Shindig will be tough competition for it I conjure...
