I'm doing Indiana Jones from Temple of Doom- you know, the torn shirt & machete.

Sonisall retooled his Grunt costume from Halo.

What YOU gonna be?

That's all manner of awesome!

Last year I got my girl to be Princess Leia and I was Han Solo, but this time it's her turn to pick, and we're doing the 50's as shown to us by 'grease.' Time to channel my inner Travolta. I've renamed my VW GTI 'Greased Lightning' for the occasion.

I've never seen someone dress as a grunt, just about everything else from halo, but not the grunt. Bravo sonisall.

Me, I'm not dressing this halloween. It's been many years since I last worn a costume. I'll be staying at home, and hiding upstairs so I dont have to go to the door every two minutes. I'll let the family do that. Bah humbug and such.

I'm thinking of wearing my theobromine molecule shirt and saying I'm dressed as chocolate.

Black cloaked menace.

The costume for this goes a couple ways, can be Grim Reaper or Nazgul, with minor additions, but the core of it is a surprisingly comfy, albeit warm (actually handy outside up here in Oct) set of robes of various fabric done to have that aged, ragged look about them, complete with trim of some kind of super-wispy, flowy fabric stuff which breaks up the outline and kinda floats around in any air current however small, nice stuff since it's more of a really dark grey than black, and has an opalescent sheen which adds to the otherwoldly look about it.

Since the client is ok with it (in fact they think it's hilarious), I'll be doin rounds in it, matter of fact, although the watch clock is gonna be a dead giveaway to who it is, heh.

That sounds scary.
But not as scary as having to work out for two days before Halloween so the old 'cepts are pumped for the Jones costume. And I'm still some too skinny.
Whatever, you'll see pics.

Bwa, sounds fantastic. Do be sure when they're getting out to give them a sinister grin and say in a low voice, "I'll see you next Tuesday." Hahahahahahahaha..... Merry All Hallows Frem.

Oh, and I'm curious as to who this costume is referring.

Well, imma night watchman, Mistress - so I've decided to go with the Reaper, what with the clock and all, just pull out the skullface mask and the sycthe.

Since the watchclock in question is a 1963 Detex-Newman it'll go right along with it, and if the mood strikes me I might start humming "Time is on my side" for a lark, heh heh.

Now I am learning about scary.

I was Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers version, of course) at work on Friday. Got quite a few compliments on it. Most people actually figured out who I was supposed to be; I suspect the stuffed Pink Panther helped.

A pic we took with my g/f's iphone. It's a mite blurry, but in a few days I might be able to add pics friends took of us. The Caddie belongs to my grandmother, who insisted an American car should be in the background, lol.

Well, our Halloween was pretty cool, someone addressed me as 'Dr. Jones' (that made my night), and a group of teenagers pointed to Sonisall & exclaimed " Look. A Grunt, from HALO!."
Lots of candy was collected.
And topping off the evening for me was Poltergeist (which I watched by myself- too scary for the rest). Boy, that movie made more sense in the eighties; Fright Night or Legend Of Hell House would have been better choices.

Ah, anyway, pictures will ensue tomorrow.

G'night, Reavers everywhere!

Haha, no kids and I'm still waitin' to here from friends who took pictures with real cameras, those won't be so out of focus. But since that star wars costume was so cool, I'll share my budget star wars costume from last year (only cost was the red duct tape). Also, the Indiana Jones and Grunt were amazing!

Oh, PR, mine wasn't *real* - My wife found a little stuffed giraffe, and the idea just went from there!

Sadly, we didn't get any pix of the whole get-up. :( We have cameras in our phones and cameras in our cameras, and for some damn reason we never take pictures.

I had 2 this year, both really cheap as I'm a student.

@Steg: the little Ewok turned out pretty good. A nice companion to your dark Jedi.

I didn't have a machete, and it was too cold to tear the sleeve off the shirt- so the rope bridge Indy didn't come off as well as I'd planned, but everyone was lookin' at the Grunt anyway...
